Weeeeeee!
0I’m on a roll.
I’ve been customizing my new layout for the whole day. I never had the time to personalize my blog before and when I do have time, I’d be too tired to do it. Now since I have nothing else to do, I decided to personalize my blog more and I can’t stop. I’ve had dark layouts usually so I’m going for the bling bling cute theme now.. no worries, I’m not going all “OH MAH GAWD DAT SO R0X0Rz!!!111!!1!” but yeah this blog will be cute for quite a while until I get bored of it. After this I will start working on my other neglected blogs and ‘beautify’ them and actually start posting haha.
I have a lot to do, to blog, and to modify so yeah.. back to work!
Oh I also changed my feed URL.. Not that anyone would subscribe… lol
Oh yeah, silly me. I forgot to mention that I had my 3rd fraxel treatment last Friday.. an hour with the numbing cream and it was doing a shit job numbing my face! So the treatment was painful
Somehow now I think fraxel has opened up my pores and now they’re large? wtf. wtf. wtf. And I need new diet pills.. I’m getting too fat.. I think I can feel cellulite on my body.. oh no.. might need cellulite gel T_T
So now I’m on house arrest.. kinda like hibernating in my own room hence why I have a lot of free time to update my new layout. Yep. At least my face isn’t as bad as the 2nd treatment, but it’s starting to get itchy as hell!
PS: I wonder how the Tokio Hotel concert went yesterday? There’s actually 3 different concerts going on at the same time last night, mentioned on TV. Oh Bill.
Dermlaze Skin Laser Clinic, Damansara + Fraxel Laser
11Since my last post of Dermlaze and my treatment there, I’ve gotten quite a lot of questions from my visitors about the place.
My July 2008 Blog Post on Dermlaze
My August 2008 Blog Post on My First Fraxel Treatment

It’s been more than a year since I last went for treatment at Dermlaze. My final year was hectic, and I had absolutely no time to go for treatment. Plus I was too busy with assignments that required me to shoot outdoor all the time so doing laser treatment is not a good idea. However, after my graduation showcase, due to extreme stress we had to endure with our final semester, when it’s done, I slowly had a breakout. Small at first, but then it became huge and bad. After 2 months, now I’m left with bad spots/scarring so I need help immediately while I still have to complete one elective subject.

My biggest mistake was not getting any treatment before it became bad. I’ve had 2 dermatologists before, and seriously, neither seemed as friendly as Dr. Jeswender. I didn’t have good treatment either. Of course my 2nd one (a dermatologist from Gleneagles Intan) left me with very, very, bad scarring. Not only that, he wasn’t friendly at all. So anyways, I went there on Tuesday to ask him what I should do. Back to fraxel laser. So I made an appointment for Wednesday morning.

The next morning, my stupid elevator was scaring me with some sound. Mind you, the day before 2 elevators were stuck on 4th floor.. one of them with people stuck in them. That was so scary. I ended up walking up the stairs to 13th floor.
So I was quite late for appointment. Well, there’s a new assistant there. So as usual I was given painkillers, then I was put on some topical medication on my face, and some numbing cream. I miss the smell of numbing cream at Gleneagles hospital though. It got me high haha. So I rested for I think about 30 minutes or so? Until the numbing cream sets in and my face is numb. So I watched some youtube on my phone lol. I was getting really comfortable.
THE FRACTIONAL (FRAXEL) LASER

It’s always interesting to go for treatment. Maybe I have a secret addiction or hidden liking to getting laser treatment lol So I was brought to a different room to do my treatment. However it wasn’t Dr. Jes, but the assistant who’s doing the treatment. One thing about fraxel is that it doesn’t hurt as much as pixel, doesn’t look as bad as pixel, and skin isn’t burnt badly as pixel would. It just feels like hundreds of tiny pin pricks, poking your skin at the same time. It’s not bad. But then for some deep scars, the used different setting and yowza! It was just a split second for each deep scar but it felt like someone was pulling the elastic band/rubber band at your face real hard.. so each time was really painful, for a short while only though. After that they put some huge ice pack on my face.. ahhh. Cool down time before 2nd round.. then it’s the same process again. Then put some cream then I’m done.
Again, I really love fraxel because it doesn’t hurt that much compared to pixel that I’ve done before, and it doesn’t burn the skin badly. Usually before I’d have really black skin, sometimes bloody after the pixel laser treatment and God knows how much it hurts, throbs and burns after… it was torture. But with fraxel, it shows nothing except a bit of redness, some large opened pores (haha) and that’s it. I got my medicine, plus some extra medicine.. Neostrata product! I love neostrata product. And thank God they sell it, because I’ve been searching it everywhere.. it’s only sold at skin clinic. I’ve yet to get my Neostrata toner that I’ve been searching for ages though.. not enough money. Plus I want to get some slimming pills.. it’s hard for me to follow diets that work so I need some help. I also bought an expensive sun block lol..
Anyways. That’s my treatment story after 1 year break. It’s been 3 days and goooooosh my face is so itchy right now.. my eyes and my nose are peeling, and stinging and I have no idea why. lol. I’m healing okay. Can’t see much improvement now since it’s my “first” treatment. Need a lot more to see the result. Anyways, if you want to check out the place, here’s the address:

Fraxel Treatment Day
12Ahh..when I’m on a break like this, it’ll be nice if I could go on a holiday…. I need one but I have no one to go with. In 2005, when I won the all expense paid trip to Singapore to see Good Charlotte, I went through hell to renew my passport but after that one use, now it’s just collecting dust
All the troubles I went through was so not worth it…oh wait, I get to hug Billy Martin…oh nvm, it was so damn worth it

Earlier today, I had went to my skin clinic, Dermlaze that I’ve blogged about before to do my very first Fraxel laser treatment. As you know, I want to undo what my old dermatologist did to my face
The hideous friggin surgery scar. First my mom was pissing me like hell, and the hot weather and major traffic jam wasn’t helping my mood either. I was supposed to go there at 2 pm but I finally got there at 3-ish pm instead.
First, I was sent to this small room with the laser machine. The girl prepped me up first. She cleaned my face cuz I had compact powder on, lol… then gave me painkillers. My old clinic never gave me painkillers… o.O; So I like this clinic way better. Then she put some cream which I’m assuming numbing cream. The cream didn’t smell like the numbing cream they put at Gleaneagles Hospital Skin Clinic (which I loved the smell and got me high lol). Then she put the some plastic on my face. When she’s done, she turned off the lights and put on night light so the room is dim lit. It felt so cozy lol. I was told to rest for half an hour for the numbing cream to take effect I guess. With the soothing music playing (they played slow love songs like Madonna, Savage Garden, R. Kelly, Boyz II Men etc) and with the dim light… I almost fell asleep lol.
After half an hour, the girl came back, cleaned the cream off my face…I didn’t feel the numbness like i did with the cream they used at Gleaneagles o.o So then they shut my eyes with cotton pad or something to protect my eyes from the lasers. I was kinda nervous … cuz you know, this laser might hurt more than pixel laser I did before. Finally Dr. Jeswender came XD Then the procedure start… btw I’m only doing at the area of my cheeks, not the whole face.
When the laser first poked my skin, I was surprised as hell! lol. Okay, it’s like this. When i did the pixel laser, it felt like rubber band slapping your face one by one but with fraxel laser, it felt like hundred of needles are poking through your skin at the same time every second. I’m not sure which hurt more… pixel or fraxel. It was quite painful but tolerable…until it gets to the side…especially the temple area and jaw line. OMG it was painful. lol. I like pain though so I didn’t quite mind
After doing the first around of laser, my face is throbbing, and the doc stopped and the girl put two ice packs on my face to cool it down. Ohhhhhh I LOVED IT. When I did my pixel, they didn’t put any ice to cool it down so my face was burning hot! But at this place, because they put the ice packs to cool it down, my face was not burning hot or throbbing badly or in pain.
The the doc went for 2nd round. The cheek areas don’t feel as painful but the temple and jawline areas felt more pain than the first one. After he’s done, ice packs again on my face. I pressed the ice packs down to my face so my cheeks are more numb from the coldness. Then 3rd round, it wasn’t bad at all
Then ice packs again then done! The girl then put some cream on my face and I’m done! Dr. Jeswender really do care about how the patience feel, unlike the other place *coughs*
Overall, it was not so bad! Because of the ice packs that they put in between treatment, my face wasn’t throbbing bad, or feel burning hot like when I did with pixel. You have no idea how I felt the minute after i was done with pixel laser before… I felt like my face was on fire and when i left the hospital, I was screaming in pain and had to put my face to the car’s aircond to try and cool it down
My face was extremely red-ish and purple-ish too and it was embarrassing to walk where there’s people. Of course, how could I forget the smell of the burning flesh! There was even once when the burning hot sensation and throbbing was so extreme, I had to ask for the ice packs at the counter and some painkillers.. if I don’t ask, they won’t give it.
But with fraxel laser, my face wasn’t as bad.. no noticeable redness, or swelling.. smell of burning flesh wasn’t that noticeable… it was as if I didn’t do anything. So I could walk out without feeling embarrassed. After the girl gave me a cream to put on at home, I walked back to my car and then looked at my face in the mirror… nothing
The only thing that’s very noticeable is the pores.. omg lol… the pores on my face are like SO FRIGGIN HUGE… I can see my cheeks’ pores opened up and I can compare my face to the surface of the moon, haha. Imagine two cheeks with hundreds of huge, opened pores… O.O;;;;; But luckily after half an hour, the pores are not noticeable anymore… and like I said, because the post-treatment is not that noticeable, I could even go to pump the fuel, buy stuff at the petrol station’s shop AND go eat at a mamak stall (Indian muslim restaurant) near my place… their mango milkshake/smoothie is so damn good <3 Review coming soon. Oh and the 7-Eleven there has officially opened
!
So there’s my story on my first fraxel treatment. After I went back 6-ish pm, I fell asleep.. woke up at 1 am, and now my face is swollen a bit, and the area where I did treatment is dark a bit but unlike pixel which made my skin BLACK, like a completely burnt skin, lol. Now I have to go pack my stuff, so i can drive back to my hometown Ipoh at 5 am. Hopefully I have net in Ipoh.
Btw, on Sunday, we’re celebrating independence day..so Malaysians, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY/SELAMAT HARI MERDEKA!!!
