Yesterday I finally downloaded the finale for seasons 1 of GLEE. I was surprised that even though with constant crashing, and bandwidth throttling, slow download.. using my phone as modem, I still managed to download it. I’m happy.

I’m not going to spoil anything though. Finally spent some time today to watch the last few episodes that I haven’t watched yet.. from the episode with Neil Patrick Harris. I’m sad that Glee is over now.. but it’s coming back in September for season 2, I can’t wait! You know I have never been addicted to a TV show since Charmed. I don’t watch hour-long TV show because they bore me, except maybe a few. Oh and my mom has started to watch it too, and wanted to watch the finale today.. which is a huge shock since she has NEVER watched American TV show except a bit of Charmed, and that she was against Glee at first. She thinks Lea Michelle (who plays Rachel Berry) is an amazing singer.

My friend thinks Glee is like High School Musical. Well if you think about it, it kinda is but different in so many levels. I’m a fan of HSM but Glee is far from HSM. HSM is so typical Disney movie, where it’s all very cliche. Cute jock wants to sing, but afraid he’ll be ridiculed by his team mates, but then his team mates will also join, then includes the pretty girl who’s in love with the jock.. then there’s the rival…sounds a lot like Glee huh?

What’s different about Glee is that it deals with adult theme. The language also is not really appropriate for kids.. like for example, Sue Sylvester calling Mr William Schuester a “manwhore” and “slut”. The rest is typical.. you have different labels in the Glee club.. like the over-achiever annoying Rachel, the badass Puck, the cute jock Finn, the goth/emo weirdo Tina, the black sista Mercedes, the used-to-be-popular pregnant Quinn, the cheerleaders Santana and Brittany, the disabled kid Artie, the other Asian Mike, the other black (forgot his name), and the gay Kurt.

The best character in the series would have to be Sue Sylvester for me. I looooove Jane Lynch. She’s this sarcastic bitch that constantly insults Mr Schue (and his hair and chin) and despise the Glee club. Everything that Sue says never fail to make me laugh… I’ll paste some quotes from Sue that I found online:

Sue Sylvester: [writing in journal] Glee club. Every time I try to destroy that clutch of scab-eating mouth breathers it only comes back stronger like some sexually ambiguous horror movie villain. Sue Sylvester is AWESOME. Actually, Jane Lynch is awesome. I’ve seen a few movies and she’s that sarcastic in them.. like in ‘Role Models‘, ‘Another Cinderella Story‘.. ‘Two & A Half Men‘.. etc.

Love the songs in Glee too. Currently I’m so addicted to “Run Joey Run“… the video is like pure orgasmic because it has Finn, Puck and Jesse. I’m a sucker for guys in white shirt and black leather jacket and black pants. Is it getting hot in here??

The craziest episode would have to be The Gaga episode.. all of them with Gaga inspired clothing.. so ridiculous! Haha.. Tina with the bubble dress, and Kurt with I think 10 inch heels? And Rachel with dress filled with stuffed animals..then the boys in KISS makeup..

Anyways, the finale almost made me cry. And oh well, no more Jesse and Vocal Adrenaline (their rival team). Jesse is so cute but too bad he’s gay in real life. So yeah, HSM maybe can be called the cleaner version of Glee, lol. Oh and Neil Patrick Harris was AWESOME in one episode Too bad Neil is also gay -.- You know, it’d be interesting if Jesse was paired up with Kurt instead of Rachel.. a gay relationship.. I wanna see Kurt in a relationship with a guy in seasons 2 even though he has the hot for Finn, lol.

It’s 5 am now so I better sleep.. mom was sleeping on my sofa aka bed, so I’ve been up all night watching stuff and putting up with my cat’s crazyness cuz she was bored so she didn’t shut up or sit still for almost 5 hours.. NONSTOP. Talk about driving me crazy. Now I need sleep.. if not I’d need like a dozen of wrinkle creams later for my under eyes @_@ Wait, I already do…. T___T

Whenever I hear the ‘Don’t Stop Believing‘ music on Star World Asia (the channel that airs Glee), I’d get up and prepare myself to dance… it’s infectious. It was so much fun that most of us want more, and are having the same post #GleeKL syndrome.

So, I’m currently trying to take my mind off the whole Glee thing because it’s driving me nuts. I’m still happy to be part of Malaysian ‘history’ as this is the first huge flash mob that is covered by a TV station. If you haven’t seen the Star World Asia’s promo on it that is shown on TV, here it is.

Anyways, I’ll be working on Sinfully Delicious (my food blog) tonight so that it won’t look abandoned anymore, and I could actually start posting. Seriously, I gotta stop abandoning my blogs because it’s such a waste financially -___-

Okay, it was a bit obvious because there were loads, I mean LAODS of people joining in at the last minute.. it was kinda obvious.. plus everyone has been taking pictures with the Glee sign, some dressed up, some with big cameras.. so we screwed up a bit with the random spontaneous flash mob part.. but hey, we had a BLAST and everyone enjoyed it!

The mob was held at The Garden. Everybody thought it’d be at Midvalley. We all met up at the ballroom, and was given number. This would separate us into groups. I reached there at about12.20 pm and I was put in 2B.. which would be for 2nd floor.. aww too bad I wanted to be near the kids lol. Anyways, we waited with our group and around 12.45 pm or so we walked to Midvalley and waited there. Then we walked back to the secret location… and my group was near the bridge.. and EVERYONE, I mean EVERYONE was leaning against the railing/bridge etc looking down! Talk about being too obvious! Hahaha.. it’s so funny when passerby started to look down wondering what the hell is hudreds of people looking at and there’s actually nothing???….yet. Busted.

Suddenly the music started at around 2-ish pm and that was it! SHOWTIME!

Everybody was dancing like there’s no tomorrow! So much fun! Couldn’t see the kids though because there was too many people that we were spread along the bridges.. so I just kept dancing to the end. Then after it’s done.. some people forgot to disperse naturally.. everybody was rushing down, taking pictures and stuff.. of course tv people was there covering the event. Then after a while, suddenly the music starts again! wtf. I was queuing up to do the promo thing. Then everybody started screaming and dancing again.. an encore! Haha only in Malaysia’s flash mob :P 2nd round because Glee is just too much fun.. so it was just a random spontaneous dance … and everybody was just like dancing like mad. Then everybody was screaming “WE WANT MORE!! WE WANT MORE!!” Hahaha… too bad, had to end. Then pics and stuff.

I felt like a temporary celebrity! Except no one asked for my autograph. Shucks.

It was so hot, I was so sweating. And I also made a new friend! Finally broke out of my antisocial awkward phase. After that went to buy food with my new friend then we went back home. And I took a nap because I only had an hour sleep. Too excited okay!

Overall, it was a MAJOR fun event! Reconnecting Glee fans in Malaysia, expressing our love for Glee! I can’t wait until they show the TV version on Star World this Wednesday before the new season of Glee starts. Thank you Random Alphabet for this opportunity!! This has been the my highlight of the year and I’ve never had this much fun in ages.. since I absolutely love dancing!

Some people might think, after watching 1 video with the kids video and quickly assume that it’s a failed flash mob.. well we were spread out silly! You only see one part of it!

This is the ‘encore’ part, where we did a 2nd round! Haha, I don’t think that’s been done before?? Usually after a flash mob people would just disperse and that’s it.. but I guess this is Malaysian style? ENCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The encore part was the most fun! I was somewhere at the back in the video, but you can’t see me.. but it was hella fun, because that was not planned, and it was spontaneous fun..!

EDIT// OMG Can’t keep up. So many new videos and photos emerged! And most of us are still NOT OVER #GleeKL yet! Everybody misses it including me and watching all the mob videos posted on youtube brings back tears.. it was THE BEST DAMN EXPERIENCE

Why Billy, Why???

I only had the chance to own this hoodie. Which is my favorite hoodie. The red numbers used to have Good Charlotte’s signatures that they signed during the meet and greet in Singapore. Now it has faded due to constant washing… I should have just hang the hoodie, frame them.. but I want to wear it. Out of all designs in the world, I really like LeVel27′s designs.

FYI, The line was Billy Martin’s (Good Charlotte) own line. He designed all the arts.

What I like about them is that the arts.. Billy has the same interest as me – ZOMBIES. So there’s zombies design on the shirts. There are a couple of hoodies that I’ve been dying to get but I didn’t have money.. now I’ll never get them. It’s upsetting too to know that before Billy closed the line in December 2009, all items went down to 99 cents.. FRICKEN 99 cents! And I missed that?!

Surprising really that Billy wants to close his clothing line but I respect his choice. After digging old blog entries, during the meet and greet session, here’s my conversation with them.. notice what Billy said to me? (this was copied from my old blog)

I’ve been re-downloading youtube videos yesterday.. 90s music. I was in the mood for 90s music. Ahh brings back memories. Old happy memories are like loose diamonds.. they’re very precious. I wish someone would invent a time machine so I could go back to the happier days but who am I kidding. Then i’ve been thinking.. how come music nowadays suck? Sure I’m more into heavy stuff rather than pop/boybands/girlbands now but still, music nowadays aren’t like what music was back then. Except a few of course, but seriously I don’t prefer music now.. I could listen to 90s and late 80s music anytime. Just look at the late Michael Jackson.. his music is still fresh till now. Now that’s something. Even the classic like The Beatles, ACDC, Kiss, etc… we still listen to them and won’t get bored.. but tell me.. will anyone listen to Lady Gaga in the next decade?

Ok, Hanson may not the best music.. but seriously, they’re SO MUCH BETTER than Jonas Brother.. and even that hype-over-nothing Justin Bieber. I could not stand listening to Jonas Brothers or Justin Bieber.. and Hanson sure did create a world of crazy Hanson obsessed teenyboopers which I was sucked into.. but hey, I still do like their old music.. and I find myself still bobbing my head to MMMBOP now and then…

And I just realized this.. I was searching for Jordan Knight’s video last night because I used to love dancing to this song.. and only now I realize that the hidden meaning of the lyrics are COMPLETELY DIRTY.. haha.. and there I was at 15 singing & dancing along to a song about a guy wanting to fuck a girl good disguised in a video with all dancing people at amusement park.. haha.

Hehe. What I meant is I’m itching to edit a fanvideo. It’s been a long time since I last edited a music video. The thing is, I prefer the noob software rather than advanced editor. I remember when I told my lecturer, that I rather use a noob software than Adobe premiere pro.. why? Because I love how it doesn’t have to create peak file, that takes gigs of space (if you load a movie), it lags like shit if it isn’t a raw AVI file.. even though CS4 can load almost any files now, including direct VOB files..  Thing is, premiere gives more customization .. but it’s so frustrating to use, especially if you don’t have high end computer.

Anyways.

Urgh!

Oh yeah, today, I meant yesterday, was Earth Hour! Did you turn off the lights? I kinda did! Hehe.. well I went out shopping.. and I bought a SHIMONO Juice extractor..so didn’t wanna go home to a dark house so we turned on kitchen light… but that’s it. At least I turned off all other lights including my comp and laptop to support earth hour! Okay, well I’m going to rest now because I’m so tired. I’m going to spend tomorrow working on my assignment.

I wanted to do a different topic blog post but I decided to blog about this one first since it’s already 4 am and I should be sleeping because I have class at 9 am.

Okay, so since I’m a sucker for any fitness workout that involves fun dancing, I accidentally downloaded Zumba Live! one day and instantly fell in love. What’s best about it is that it involves latin dances, which has a lot of sexy hip movements.. and some african beats and somehow I love african beats. I have many, I do mean many workout DVD from hip hop to dirty dancing inspired workout to normal aerobics.. mostly anything with dance, I’d buy. However, nothing (except for my favorite hip hop DVD) that makes me so interested as Zumba. It’s so addicting.

Turns out there’s a set of DVD - Zumba 20 minutes basics, Zumba sculpt and tone, Zumba cardio party and Zumba Live! & flat abs.

In Malaysia, so far, I know only Celebrity Fitness has zumba class. Now I haven’t seen a zumba class in person, and based on a few minutes video I’ve seen on youtube (a class in Lot 10), it doesn’t have the charm that a zumba class should have. I think to get the real essence of zumba, you need latin music and LATIN DANCE. Sure there’s some hip hop and african beat moves in it, but the true zumba charm is the LATIN DANCES & MUSIC… like cumbia, raggaeton, salsa, merengue, etc. Without the latin dance and music, it loses the real fun factor of zumba and it becomes nothing but a normal aerobic dance. And that’s what I see in the video of a Malaysian zumba class.. any zumba class with English music is a turn off. Why not just stick to the original zumba music?? If you’re an instructor and a cheapskate, just fricken download it for your class. Why use English music? It’s NOT latin music and is a big turn off.

Zumba should be in Fitness First… I don’t know why Fitness First only have ‘serious’ type of classes.. none of which are the fun ones unlike Celebrity Fitness.. no hip hop, mtv dance, modern dance, not even pole dance … unfortunately I can’t afford 2 gym memberships so no dance workout classes for me ..heck I can’t even afford 1 gym T_T Well, I gotta start getting used to dancing again, I’m SOOOOOO out of shape right now it’s not even funny. I can’t even do 5 minutes of nonstop zumba.. it’s frustrating and depressing since I used to be a dancer and dancing hardcore dance for 5 hours nonstop was nothing to me before.. now I can’t even do 5 minutes nonstop workout without stopping for a breather. Pathetic.

I was browsing youtube yesterday. You know that shitmyx (our stupid slow poke internet ISP streamyx) has decided to throttle youtube??? Not only they throttle torrent before, now youtube? I mean come on, YOUTUBE? I didn’t even know that. I mean it was still okay in terms of loading time until couple of weeks ago youtube has become SO SLOW. Like a 1 minute video would take 5 minute to load. But yesterday I tweaked my setting and now the speed has improved a bit. There are a few sites that I can’t load now.. could it be.. they’ve blocked some sites?! Because I used to be able to load.. now it says server not found, but when I use a proxy, I could load it. FUCK SHITMYX. It has already a piece of shit, and they dare to be even more stinking piece of cow dung by implementing this? What the hell is ‘unlimited broadband’ supposed to mean then?

ANYWAYS.

I have not been into JPOP for a long time. Yesterday I stumbled upon Arashi’s new single, “Troublemaker”.. saw their interview and performance in music station and instantly fell in love with the song! It’s so friggin catchy and fun.. and it has fun dance routine too.. of course, Arashi members haven’t aged a bit. Damn Japanese. So I watched their PV (music video) and I so love it! It has cute stop motion animation at the beginning which is something I so wanna do if I have a chance to make a video.. ! I thought it’s very creative. It has cute stop motion throughout the video.. Ahh Nino.. so friggin cute. I love how he pushes Ohno a lot in this.. Ohmiya SK Here’s the PV.. it’s so cute!

Okay, almost 10 am now.. gonna finish my breakfast and go to the gym.. I have to meet my trainer at 11 am.. gotta use up my remaining 2 free training session before it expires >.< They never told me about the expiration! Oh yeah, have you heard maxoderm? I was reading something and saw this word and I thought, hey it sounds like a skin care product.. because most of skin care products have ‘derm’ in it.. so I read what it is, and it turns out to be a topical med for men so they can have harder and longer lasting erection.. haha. But if you look at the website and see user’s comments, they’re hilarious.

Okay I’m not gonna fill this post with super-excited-omgz-Edward-Jacob-so-hawtz!!11-teenybopper post. We’ve seen too many of those. I’m just gonna get real about why I’m excited about New Moon.

I’ve never posted this in my blog, only on my facebook, but lo and behold… I present you, my own Twilight spoof.

Haha if you were from my Media Studies class, you would have already seen that. Our assignment was to localize a movie scene and me, being a Twifan suggested that our group to spoof/localize Twilight. Especially since the main actor really fit to play Edward! Haha. It was a fun shoot. It may look dumb to you, but that was the point. Bloopers in my facebook. We wanted it to look silly.

Since then, we always make fun of the main guy… with his now trademark sentence – “I’m soooooooooooooooooooooooo shining!”

And of course, for my graduation showcase, for my theme, I chose Twilight

I still remember last year, around this time, my friends and I went for a camp at the outskirt of Melaka. After that, Claudia invited me to watch Twilight but I was way too tired to go, and could barely walk due to muscle cramps so I decided to pass. Little did I know that couple of months later, when the movie was out on DVD and I decided to download it that I’d instantly become obsessed with it.

So what’s so special about the upcoming New Moon? Beside the obvious reasons that Edward is oh-so-hot and suddenly Jacob gained super hot masculinity with that super hot bod (I mean, have you seen the trailer??? Jacob purposely took off his shirt..and somehow Edward would to later? Oh come on! Battle of body, anyone?)… I think the story is what captured me the first. I was always a fan of Robert Pattinson since Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire… but the story is more like my ‘fantasy’.. this forbidden love thing between human and vampire.. oh come, like you’ve never fantasized being with Lestat or Louis (Tom Cruise or Stuart Townsend & Brad Pit) from Interview with the Vampire and Queen of the Damned and now in New Moon, a love triangle between Jacob, Bella and Edward…. tell me if you don’t feel somewhat an adrenaline rush about it. It’s always exciting to fantasize about having 2 hot guys (a vampire and a werewolf, haha…) fighting over you. Except I’m not that lucky.

That reminds me, I have yet to read the books — well, more like audio books that I downloaded. I’ve read like half of Twilight before I got extremely busy last semester, and the book is SO MUCH BETTER. However, I prefer watching the movie first before reading the books because then I can imagine what the characters look like as I read. I’ll finish reading listening to them after all the graduation stuff is over in December.

Another exciting part is DAKOTA FANNING. I mean seriously, Dakota? It feels as if it was only yesterday I watched her in The Cat in the Hat, I am Sam, Hide and Seek etc where she’s just this cute 10 year old who talks and act like a full grown adult. I remember watching her on Oprah and she knitted her something… I can’t remember if it was a sweater or a scarf. SERIOUSLY? A 10 year old who can knit?? Geez louise. It’s gonna be interesting to see her a bit grown up in this movie.

Oh and I so wish I can get that premiere tickets to watch this, even though it’s only a day earlier but it makes a special difference to be able to enjoy it first with just 29 other winners before the rest of Malaysia.

My two weeks vacation ends in a few hours. I thought I’d have another day because usually I don’t go on faculty briefing day. It’s pointless. All you do is just sit there and listen to boring speeches reminding you of things you’d hear over and over again every new semesters for the past 2 years. Unlike my old college, you don’t need to go to this briefing shit. You go once, then that’s it.

I’m having the worst spinning headache right now because my right eye is having a bad allergic reaction to dust probably, and I wouldn’t stop rubbing my eye so now it’s probably infected, and it’s swollen and it hurts. Gah. So tomorrow morning I’m driving back to KL. I have this stupid grad showcase meeting shit at 10am, wtfbbq. If not for that, I’d still be free tomorrow.. then I have to do stupid slides to promote our showcase, which means after meeting I’d have to stay on and go through the faculty briefing thing.

2 more weeks of fasting, then Eid! I can’t week. I can’t stand fasting while watching everyone else munching yummy stuff.. I can’t stand not drinking something. I can’t stand watching fast food ads on tv. However, 2 weeks of fasting has passed, and I don’t think I’ve lost and weight.. but maybe I’ve been gaining. Gah. Has anyone heard of testoripped? I don’t know.. there’s like countless number of diet pills out there claiming to really work.. and usually cost a bomb, but do they really work? I gave up hoping pills or diet craps would help losing weight. I’m not that strong anymore to resist food.

Well I’m going to enjoy my last few hours of freedom by……….. doing nothing. Oh! This morning I saw Cory & Stephanie’s wedding online.. I’m a fan of Cory (he’s famous in youtube). It was a lovely wedding! Some people were rude in the chat room though… and funny how some youtube celebs tried to entertain us while the newlyweds went out to take pics. Unfortunately my connection started to suck when the fun was about to begin.. they were gonna dance and all so I missed that. Hopefully it’ll be uploaded online. I think it’s interesting to broadcast wedding online.. I might do that.. if I become famous that is cuz if I’m not, who the hell would care to watch, right??
