Originally I thought I wanted to blog about something, but I got lazy so I decided to post lyrics XD Okay.. this past few days I’ve been re-addicting myself to old JPOP songs that I used to like few years back. I’ve been download clips and songs from youtube like crazy. So I’d like to post one of my fave songs of all time….. ORENJI NO TAIYOU. It’s a soundtrack from the movie “MOONCHILD” starring Gackt, Hyde & Lee Hom. Omg I miss this movie. I want to watch it again but the cd is in Ipoh. The movie is like one of my faves because OH MY GAWD can you say BISHOUNEN HEAVEN???????  I mean Gackt & Hyde together with a little hint of shounen ai (boys love) PLUS VAMPIRE THEME? That’s like super major double uber ultra turn on for me! I’d have multiple orgasm throughout the movie, lol.

Unfortunately, the song is extremely sad. I’ll cry every single time. You’ll know why if you’ve watched Moonchild. Now I wanna see the concert again.. blah cd in Ipoh too. Anyways, this is a live performance from his concert (jyougen no tsuki saishuushou)… it was supposed to be a duet with Hyde but Hyde was busy with L’arc-en-ciel. :(

Random thoughts: I feel like cooking again. I need to find recipes and cook..first I want a portable gas cooker x.x Or those electric one… Hm now I want to listen to Gackt’s Crescent album… omg I can’t believe I bought that album for like over $150…omg. But no regret, the album is just awesome!

Ok, continuing with THINGS I USED TO LOVE IN CHILDHOOD part 1.
Today’s topic is, TV SHOWS.

Now I still remember back in 1999, when cable tv just started to bring in more channels. One of the channels being Nickelodeon. I remember the intro tv that they showed days (weeks?) before the official launching of Nick. Here’s a video of Nick tv intros from shows I used to watch and love!

Reminiscence Part 2

Oh I have loads to talk about of things, movies and shows I used to love. But hey, this is my blog, I’ll talk about whatever I want to, lol.

NOW & THEN

Little girls nowadays play with babydolls but I was addicted to movies and video games and music. I remember when in 1995, across my house, they finished new shoplots and one store opened up - a movie rental store. So I would go almost daily to rent movies. There are some movies that I’m so addicted with that I would go and rent a few times… one of the movies is NOW & THEN.

They don’t make quality movies for kids anymore these days. Certainly I think late 80s and 90s is the best decade to be growing up with. I would never trade it with anything else. I’d gladly live through it again. Even though there was no cable tv back then, I had fun. Now this movie.. it’s about friendship. I had a few good friends at that time. Best of friends. You see big names to the adults in this movie like Rosie O’Donnell, Rita Wilson, Demi Moore  & Melanie Griffith. And to young girls, Christina Ricci, Thora Birch, Ashley Ashton-Moore (Ashley Rogers) and Gaby Hoffman. These are the girls that I always dreamed to be lol. Of course not forgetting, Devon Sawa! The hottie of the 90s.

As I’ve said, the movie is about friendship. It’s set in the 1960s I think about 4 best friends who has problems of their own and characteristics such as Christina’s character Roberta is a tomboy but when she met Devon Sawa, she fell in love and changed. They have a kissing scene in this, and another one in Casper. Thora’s character Teenie is always on about her appearance especially boobs. The rest.. well you go and see the movie yourself. lol.

The soundtrack was good (I owned it), story was good, cast was good… I missed this movie. I almost bought it from Amazon but decided to wait a bit. I will someday. All for one, and one for all.

The Odyssey is a Canadian TV series that I used to be so obsessed with. I watched it religiously every Friday at 4 pm. I would tape every single episodes until the end of the season. It aired in Malaysia around 1997-1998, I can’t remember clearly. Or was it 1999? I loved this show because it’s for kids or teens, about kids/teens. The story is simple yet complicated. Jay fell into a coma, and while he’s in a coma he goes on this adventure to find his home, and his dad in a world where kids will never grow up beyond 16 years old. No adults in the world.

I loved it because of the cast and the story. Illya Woloshyn is hot in it… then I knew Ashley Rogers from Now & Then movie ..unfortunately I found out that Ashley passed away last December from  accidental heroin overdose… Then there’s Tony Sampson… Jewel Staite (I loved her from Flash Forward), Devon Sawa (I’ve been obsessed about him since I was 10 or so) and Ryan Reynolds :D Oh Andrea Nemeth (you might have seen her in Scary Movie)

It’s fun to watch every episode to see what obstacles Jay will face, then at the same time in his real world, you’re hoping he would wake up from the coma because he reacts every time they mention something about his dad, Brad Ziegler. I also love to act scenes from the movie because that’s what I always do when I was young, lol. I’ve been hoping for a DVD to come out but so far, no luck :( I loved this show.

Now something random, don’t you ever wish you’re rich enough for a private jet charter? I know I am. I so want to go on a holiday vacation right now. Speaking of holiday, I have a one week break at the end of the month. Hurrah.

I’m getting to almost 100% better. I haven’t been coughing today, so yay. For the first time this week, I was asleep until almost 4 pm o.O Because for the past 2 weeks, I haven’t been getting much rest. Either I’d be coughing like I’m dying or my breathing would have the wheezing sound. I wanted to sleep early tonight but Ghost Hunters is on now (at 3 am) x.x

If you haven’t heard about Sufiah Yusof, do google for more information. Basic stuff - Sufiah Yusof is a math genius. She used to make headlines in Malaysian newspaper when I was about 13 when she entered Oxford University. Her father is a Pakistani (who is well…bad with criminal records) and her mother is a Malaysian. She used to have this sweet, innocent, naive look on her. I’ve read about her running away from house when she was 15 to get away from the pressure of her family especially her father, but after that she really got into Islam. She married Jonathan Marshall who converted into Islam…but unfortunately her marriage ended a year later. Her ex said that the reason for their separation is because he’s more into Islam and she’s more growing out of the religion and she’s confused. She’s not heard until….

….News of the World UK sent an undercover report thus revealing that she is now working as a prostitute/escort for roughly £130 per hour (that’s almost $900 malaysian ringgit!) I’ve known all along that a genius like Sufiah is not *that* stupid as people think she is. She did not sink this low to ’survive’. She could have done a lot of things because she’s a genius. She could be living large right now if she uses her brain. But did it ever occur to you that she’s into prostitution not because to survive, but it’s the path she has chosen? Come on, she’s a MATH genius.. she’s already calculated all the money she’d get lol…

The recent news from NOTW has revealed her confession (as in the video too) that she clearly chose this ‘profession’ as her career. She clearly enjoys living in the dirty fab world of prostitution. Getting the money.. getting the stuff.. and most importantly getting all the sex she wants o.O; Here’s my two cents on it. Why are people making such a big fuss? She’s an adult now, and she’s free to do whatever she wants to - it’s her life. Why is the Malaysian government thinking of sending help to her? Let her be. It’s her life. If it’s something she enjoys, you wouldn’t be able to stop her until she realizes it herself that it’s wrong and sinful (especially since she’s a muslim) Hopefully she’s not doing drugs too or she’s need to be sent somewhere to get drug treatment. Now to Sufiah… hope you would realize this is wrong, not a glamourous or honourable profession and go back to the right path. How could a devoted muslim like you turn into something like this? Think of the future girl, not now… now you think you’re living faboulously, you’ll regret it in the future. You’ve already damaged your reputation, don’t damage your health and future.

Just my two cents. It’s just sad a genius could sink this low. It’s sad too that her father is such an abuser and a molester lol.

A day after my birthday.

Yesterday was fun :) I didn’t actually celebrate or anything but it was a fun day. I had a lot of bday greetings in myspace o.O Thank you! ^_^ And it was lovely to wake up to a lot of birthday spams from Aaron :D I loved it :D When I was about to go to school, mom gave me a birthday kiss lol. It was VERY awkward since I don’t do that kind of stuff with my mom. Then guess what? I rushed to class, got there like 10 mins late, bumped into Sherra who arrived at the same time and was rushing for Ms Jenny’s class and…. my class? NO ONE o.O;;;;… I thought class was changed or unexpectedly canceled. Thank god it wasn’t. We had group discussion for my group project.. seriously, I think this is gonna be trouble. It seems like I”m the one being serious about it. Moving on.. then we talked about camera movements and then we had practical on it :D

And this is another group on the opposite side with Effendy as the cam director, directing Jackie the model, lol. It was funny watching them. I just noticed how long our corridor is… yes, it gets friggin tiresome to walk all the way to class! At the end there is the dentistry faculty.. why did they make focad (creative arts) faculty so far inside.. ? @_@

I didn’t play with the camera because they were hogging it. I barely got a chance to watch too because they keep blocking my view so I sat at the side there because it was too hot :( Mostly Jackie, Esther, Effendy and Rashman were the ones excited with the camera with Mel, Hana and Ally as models lol.

I forgot this guy’s name (Imran maybe?) but he played a part of a guy running into the camera and get shot and falls to the ground while facing the camera… it was so fucking hilarious because he’s such a good dramatic actor! I took a vid with my cam but I missed the best moment where he falls then looks up to the cam and said “HELP”…haha. See if I can upload the blurry cam phone video.. once it’s ready, I’ll edit this post with the video.

After class, I rushed to pickup mom and we went to Tesco. Bought some stuff then came home to talk to Aaron and to be with him in Second Life :) He paid my dreamhost site hosting!!!!! His birthday gift for me :D!!!! Thank you sooooooo much babe!!!! Me very happy! Then we spent time together in SL :)So that was my birthday :D Thank god for no drama or no moodswing lol
