Goodbye, King of Pop

I woke up this morning, and usually the first thing I’ll do is check facebook. Suddenly I see all this status saying ‘RIP MJ’.. I was shocked so I went to yahoo news and saw the headline.. “MJ dies at 50″.. I just cannot express my shock. When something you totally don’t expect happening, it makes an impact on you. I mean MJ has always been my fave idol since I was a toddler. MJ is one of a kind – the type that people call as evergreen. His songs, no matter how old they are, will always be playing until years to come. You will NEVER get bored of it. You will also never get bored of his dance, and people still do the moonwalking. For an icon like MJ to die at the young age of 50 is just simply sad. It’s just like Elvis or even Malaysian’s legendary artist, P. Ramlee. They all die at young age. Yeah I am extremely sad, because I’m a HUGE fan of MJ. MJ has an impact in my life, and everyone’s lives.. I mean.. come on.. with other artists, I like then then I don’t.. but with him, I grew up listening to him. So yeah, a truly sad day.

Another artist that died yesterday is Farrah Fawcett. I knew her when I was obsessed with “Man of the House” starring Jonathan Taylor Thomas. She was really huge back then as one of the Charlie’s Angels and also so pretty. But she had been battling cancer so it’s not as shocking as MJ. See, I don’t hear much of her death, because those who didn’t grow up watching Charlie’s Angels would not even know her. Everyone has been saying about MJ, and none really mentioned Farrah except maybe a few.. sad, really. Shows that MJ had greater influence in everybody’s lives.

RIP MJ and FF.

On other completely different stuff… I’m surprised I managed to finish downloading Gypsy 83. I mean, there has been only 1 seeder! The download took a few days but yeah, glad I don’t have to order it from amazon because I’ve tried searching it here and I can’t find it. I have to give props to Sara Rue for her daring act of being topless in the movie.. No comment on Kett Turton, I’m just in heaven everytime I see him. I wish I could have someone like Clive (Kett Turton’s character) because he worships Gypsy (Sara) so he’s like this gay boy toy that you keep and drags around as your companion.

Guitar Hero on Tour Modern Hits for the DS is out. Awesome. I need new microsdhc card.

I went to college, got home at 3.30 pm but was called again for meeting so I rushed to college and as soon as I arrived they all left just like that, wtf. So basically I wasted my petrol and rushed to college for nothing. But at least they saw my face there so it’s okay.

Here’s something interesting. You can have your dna test and then you can find out your ancestors by matching up with your ancestry dna. It can be very interesting you know to find out who you could be connected to.. you never know. Alright, I’m gonna go rest while watching Gypsy 83 or play with my DS… I might fall asleep anyway. Ciao.

Nurin Jazlin Jazimin

Posted by Tany | Daily Life, News | Monday 1 June 2009 5:36 am

Almost 2 years ago, I wrote this POST.
It was an entry about this devastating news on a murder of an 8 year old, Nurin Jazlin Jazimin who was kidnapped, and a month later she was found stuffed in a duffel bag, naked and sexually abused. Autopsy showed that she had cucumber and brinjal stuffed in her private parts and in her intestine.

After she was laid to rest, there was this huge news about her post mortem photos was leaked and spread through emails and internet. Being a sick person that I am, I wanted to see the pics badly. I want to know how her condition was because apparently curiosity can really kill me. Finally yesterday I saw those pictures. My respond?

WHAT KIND OF SICK ANIMAL BASTARDS WOULD DO SUCH A THING TO THAT POOR LITTLE GIRL?!?!?!!

It was horrible. Not only she was so skinny (I wish I could be skinny without the help of weight loss pills), with bruises on her, but the cucumber and brinjal were HUGE and how could they have stuffed that in her? I … just… can’t imagine the pain she must have gone through. I can’t imagine what other things they did to her.

What pisses me off is that it has been almost 2 years and the bastard is still not captured! What are the police doing? How slick is this sick animal until he can still be on the loose.. not leaving any clues for the police? Even when captured on CCTV camera, no one could identify the man. I just seriously hope that the bastard would be dead right now, died of a terrible death.. slowly and painful, with a truck crushing the body and his brain spattered everywhere.. that’s still an easy death. He deserve something more horrible than that. Poor Nurin.

…I better stop before I get too obsessed again with death.

Another question is… where on earth is SHARLINIE, another missing girl? It’s been over a year now.

PS: No I don’t have Nurin’s autopsy photos saved, don’t even dare to ask.

Natasha Richardson

RIP NATASHA RICHARDSON

I was shocked when I heard this news a few minutes ago… just couldn’t believe it. I’m not a big fan of her, but I did like her in THE PARENT TRAP, which was the first movie Lindsay Lohan starred in and I was obsessed with back then.. and Natasha played the mother, and she was awesome.. and the 2nd movie I saw her was in WILD CHILD, which is my current fave movie that I saw in December/January, which is her last movie. She played the headmistress.

She was a good actress and a beautiful one.. all I know is that she died from head injury after a skiing accident. Such a tragic loss. May you rest in peace.

PS: I’ll blog tomorrow

Shitmyx & Birthday

Posted by Tany | Daily Life, News | Wednesday 25 February 2009 12:24 am

PETALING JAYA: Streamyx broadband users will have to bear with sluggish surfing speeds until March 5 due to technical problems, according to Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM).

TM said in a statement that there has been a disruption of TM’s Internet services since Feb 18 due to circuit faults on the Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) between Malaysia and the United States.

Due to this, customers using Internet services may now experience slow browsing while accessing content hosted in the United States, said the statement.

Additionally, customers using Internet Protocol services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the United States may also experience some service degradation.

To alleviate the problem and ease the congestion, some links have been rerouted, TM said.

During restoration process, traffic to North America may experience minor degradation while traffic to other countries would not be affected.

That, people, is why I feel so psychotic and want to kill everyone at TMPoint for their shittiest broadband service ever. And what’s pathetic is that, they’re the monopoly. Seriously, give me a retarded moron right now so I can’t bash him up to pulp cuz I’ve had enough with Streamyx fucking slow net. I’ve had ENOUGH.

On an even more pathetic side…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

….and I’ll be celebrating alone :(

EDIT// H just recorded himself singing Happy Birthday, in English and Cantonese to me… that just made my night :) … didn’t expect him to do that.. Also got an ecard earlier from Aaron.. thank you :)

Massive Landslide @ Bukit Antarabangsa

Posted by Tany | Daily Life, News | Thursday 11 December 2008 1:11 pm

My biggest sympathy and condolences goes out to the families of those affected by the massive landslide tragedy at Bukit Antarabangsa (literally International Hill).

It’s Highland Towers all over again. Highland Towers is the worst landslide tragedy in the Malaysian history, and what’s even shocking, the current tragedy is only located less than 2 km away from the now abandoned Highland Towers.

According to wiki:

The Highland Towers collapse was an apartment building (condominium) collapse that occurred on December 11, 1993, in Taman Hillview, Ulu Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. The collapse of one block caused the deaths of 48 people and led to the complete evacuation of the other two blocks due to safety concerns.

The Highland Towers were three blocks of 12-story apartment, each block was respectively named Block 1, Block 2 and Block 3. Block 1 collapsed when 10 continuous days of rainfall led to a landslide after the retaining wall at the Tower’s car park failed.

After the tragedy, The Highland Towers memorial was placed at the site of Block 1.

The Highland Towers still stand today, although they are now almost completely overgrown by the Jungle. In recent years, they have been the site of much vandalism and the buildings are now in almost complete disarray and ruin. Rather eerily, the abandoned towers continue to loom out of the green density of the jungle, looking out over the Taman Hillview area.

Now in Bukit Antarabangsa, 14 bungalows were destroyed, with some completely flattened out, thousands were stranded with no electricity and water and with limited supply of food (whatever they had) because the main road is completely cut off by the landslide.. and the tragedy claimed 4 lives if I”m not mistaken. Just roughly 2 weeks before this tragedy, 2 more landslides occurred, of which one claimed 2 lives of young girls (sisters). I just can’t imagine how they must’ve been feeling during and after the tragedy. Luckily at my KL apartment, there’s not hill, but there’s a small river or big drainage or some sort, and has already caused a bad landslide couple of months ago just hundred of metres away from my apartment. It’s been worrying me. When you live on 13th floor, if electricity is cut, there is no way you can get down.. plus no way to bring your stuff (my precious comps) and my precious kitties.

If I were in KL now, I would’ve gone to the tragedy site to see it for myself… I’m extremely heartbroken. Imagine.. if you survived the landslide, but you have nothing now.. absolutely nothing. You only have what you were wearing.. well with whatever you have in the bank, but property-wise all gone. Like the first tragedy (that killed 2 young girls), the rest of the family survived, but they’re left with absolutely nothing now. Not even a memory of the 2 girls, only photos given by the deceased’s school friends.

I rather die if my mom, or my cats or my properties were destroyed in any nature tragedy. The pain would be too much for me to handle.

One of the Bukit Antarabangsa victim was from Ipoh. She was in my elementary and high school (Tarcisian Convent Ipoh).

On another different topic, another bus crash killing 10 people — WHAT’S UP WITH THAT??? How many bus accidents occurred just this year? How many were killed in bus crash? I’ve lost count.. I FEAR THE BUS NOW!

PS: I hate my internet connection! FUCK YOU STREAMYX!
