Just a quick blog. I’ll write a longer blog after this post. Just thought I’d quickly write a word of advice. When I was talking to my friends last Sunday, one of them mentioned about how often he’d lose his phone either by dropping or losing it somewhere. Then 2 days ago my other friend mentioned that he lost his phone too. So I googled, and didn’t know that there’s such thing as phone insurance. There’s iphone insurance and even for blackberry. I would kill myself if I lose my BB because I can never afford a new one even though a new BB Torch is coming out and it’s a perfect BB phone to date, I can never afford it. I want a new Iphone 4 but it’ll be a while before I could afford it. But the thought of losing such expensive phone freaks me out. Especially since my old DS Lite was stolen when it was inside my bag it could happen to my phone too. Gah. Is there such thing as phone insurance in Malaysia?
Have you heard of an electric cigarette? When I went shopping in KL, I passed by a booth that sells them.. I’m not a heavy smoker, nor an addict.. people say that if you haven’t smoked, do not ever try because you will become addicted. In my case, I’m not gonna lie that I have smoked before, on certain ‘emergency’ situations but I’m glad to say that I have not become an addict unlike my friends who could smoke a few packs a day. Also by emergency situations mean when I’m majorly stressed. When I’m majorly stressed I’d get painful migraine, and the only way to instantly cure migraine when you don’t have medicine is smoking, believe it or not. I used to do this when I was doing internship. So basically, in a year, I smoke once, or twice.. or none at all. Usually I would try to refuse a cig because I have asthma, and it’s so not good for my lungs.
But I can’t imagine how some of my friends could smoke few packs a day.. I can’t stand even stand one fag. I DESPISE the taste of it in my mouth. So what is this electronic cigarette I hear? Apparently it can help you stop smoking? I’ve never seen it personally or seen a demo of how it works but if you’re a heavy smoker, and want to stop but can’t.. this could be an alternative for you. It does however contain nicotine? So in a way it might not be safe? Well I don’t know for sure as I don’t really know how it works. It’s also rechargeable. So it’s good if you’re in a non-smoking environment but aching for a fag.
If you have tried this, what is it like? I’m just curious.
I’m feeling a bit better today. Last night I stayed up whole night watching “Mind Your Language” and cheered me up because it’s hilarious, and watching super cute Barry Evans of course cheered me up. And I do have one extra good thing happening which I won’t tell. So since now I’m able to think straight again, I figured, if Fitness First are being jackasses and won’t refund my money, at least for June and July I won’t have to pay, and for August, September & October they better let me freeze the damn account so I don’t have to pay for the full amount. That way I can save up my money again. Also, by August, I have something to look forward to.
However, mom has been driving me crazy sometimes. My BB is driving me crazy sometimes because every time I try to tether my BB to my laptop, either it won’t connect to internet or my laptop would hang. It’s very frustrating. No internet is driving me crazy and it means that I can’t even download Glee’s finale episode for season 1 next week, and the new album coming up – Journey to Sectionals.
Oh another thing that makes me happy – the cheap China made media player (that plays videos/musics from your external HDD on your TV) that I bought 2 months ago at the pc fair works PERFECTLY on my tv here at my hometown. I had a problem when I can’t plug in one of the audio’s jack because the picture will be blur, but when it’s not plugged, one side of audio is missing.. so it means if the video utilizes both audio then the sound completely sucks. Like Glee for example, when they sing, it uses right and left audio so for my KL TV, it sounded retarded because the music is not right.
But my TV here plays everything perfectly, so I can watch my downloaded Glee on TV, and other stuff. 
So that makes me happy. I guess there’s always a downside of China made TV that cost RM500 compared to a Sony TV that cost RM4500+.
Well I guess with my problems now, I can still survive on bread and soup lol. Maybe I’d lose more weight. My appetite suppressant is doing a good job in controlling my appetite, so I don’t get cravings anymore. Guess it’s useful now. Speaking of weight, I hate looking at sites like weight loss success stories because there’s just way too many like these promoting like 2304823904825 products. You don’t even know which one works, real or harmful anymore.
EDIT/ Wow my comp hanged. See, I hate tethering my BB now. Luckily wordpress has autosave so I didn’t lose what I’ve written.
I’m gonna stop now, because I’m being eaten alive by mosquitoes. Urgh, one thing I like about my KL apartment is that it’s too high for mosquitoes. Here, I’m being eaten alive. T___T

YAYYY It’s April! Which means PC FAIR!
I’ve been sick since last Saturday.. so for 4 days I’ve been sleeping and resting. And going to class on Thursday was troublesome because my stomach still hurt when driving so yesterday, I decided to go to KLCC using LRT instead of driving there. I love going to KLCC by LRT because I don’t get tired from driving & being stuck in traffic jam in KL, I save petrol, and most importantly I save money on parking. Obviously KLCC parking charges ridiculously. Since I’m going to PC fair, I’d definitely take a looooong time so parking usually would be crazy!
I went with my friend who decided to join me at the last minute . I wanted to buy a media center/player badly. For months I’ve been wanting one because I download a lot of movies online, and sometimes when I go back to my hometown, it’ll be cool watch my movies on TV so I don’t have to bring all of my dvds or burn them to dvds or whatever.. plus I have a lot of downloaded youtube videos that I want to watch on TV. Somehow, currently, there’s been a lot of players popping out! I was reading a review yesterday, and the one I wanted looks good – Western Digital WD TV Mini. It’s cheap too – only RM 179 or something. But then, I saw the demo for WD TV Live! Which is almost the same but with a bit more format support (but no rmvb support unlike the mini).. but HD support PLUS you can watch youtube on TV! It’s quite useless though for me, because I can watch youtube on my comp here.. would be useful when I go back to hometown except it doesn’t support wifi router.
Anyways! I found a cheaper version player, for half the price of WD TV Mini! Ok, so it’s china made.. it’s not perfect.. BUT it can play flash videos directly! Hurrah! And it only cost me RM73..so now I can download youtube stuff and watch directly on tv from my portable external without having to convert the videos and burn to dvd.. which still doesn’t guarantee you that it would play correctly. You have absolutely NO IDEA how happy I am right now to get the player! However, I’m hoping for the next pc fair I can get either the WD TV LIVE or Seagate’s Theater.. which cost almost RM400.That or a new 1TB portable external HDD.
Other than that, I also bought:
- A new laptop bag because my old original Acer bag is all torn now.
- MicroSDHC 8GB card (I received a free card reader)
- Sonic! Gear pink nano clip headphone (I need a smaller headphone that doesn’t hurt my ear, not bulky, and doesn’t fall off easily)
That’s it. I would’ve bought more.. I needed a new mouse but I didn’t want to spend more money as I’ve spent enough already. I did well in resisting temptations UNTIL ……………

I ban myself from MAC and Bobbi Brown store.. now I have a new MAC face primer when I already have Smashbox primer! ARGH! RM78 gone! >.> I was gonna get their foundation but managed to resist that temptation. There goes all of my money I’ve set aside to buy my slimming pills.. wait, that’s all the money I had.. I only have like 20 dollars balance in my wallet… I SO NEED A JOB.
Speaking of job, I had a surprise call from my ‘bosses’ from my old internship place. He offered me a job as their editor..if I don’t want full time I can opt for contract at least until their movie is out at the end of the year… should I? should I? I hate the traffic jam, I hate the stress of having to rush for editing, I hate going back at night or stay back.. but……. I need a job. Well I know that in May I’m going to take a month break from everything, I’ll take that time to think about it.
Well I have a ‘party’ to go to in a couple of hours.. so toodles.
I woke up at 4.40 am today.. because I fell asleep early. Urgh. So now I cannot go back to sleep, and I have class at 9 am. Luckily I finished my assignment on yesterday’s morning, so by evening I could print, cut the mounting board and get everything ready so I won’t be rushing during class (my class is at 9 am, and print shop opens at 9.30 am). Now I just need to burn a soft copy in the cd, that’s all. Can’t wait for this last semester to end.. my convocation is supposed to be on April 24th, but due to the fact that my final assessment will be on the 22nd, and there is absolutely no way that exam department can release the result in one day so I can’t join. However the next one will be in October so I think it’s still okay.. like my old college, they only have convo once a year, in December so hopefully they won’t change from October to next year… earlier is okay, but not next year. Then after that, I’m taking a break for a while.. just wanna chill alone in Ipoh.Wish I can go on vacation

Oh and for the past 2 days, I had a throbbing toothache on my molar. I have a feeling I have a cavity. I should go to the dentist soon. I hate having problems. I have girl problem too.. not sure if my acne medicine is causing this or what.. but I should see a doctor soon. And my eyes.. I think something’s wrong with my eyes that keeps giving me headache. I should see an optometrist soon. And I have dermatologist appointment tomorrow.
Anyways, I wanna talk a bit on Second Life 2 viewer. The new viewer is out, and it looks as if you’re using Second Life in a browser. It’s so confusing compared to the old one and it’s not old computer friendly. My PC can’t handle it on ultra graphics.. it lags like hell, makes me wanna commit suicide.. however it runs fine on ultra setting on my laptop.. weird thing is that, my PC is 3 1/2 years old, and my laptop is 2 1/2 years except my laptop has better graphic card. I feel like upgrading my PC when I have money, which I don’t know when would that be….. T__T
I miss my Second Life.. I used to be happy with it.. I had friends, had weekly fun party.. generally had a good time. Now everyone’s gone, no one ever logs in anymore.. the island I hang out in seems abandoned. I could find new friends, do what I used to do which is club hopping.. you know, at least to cure my current loneliness at home.. because you know, I have one class a week, I don’t hang out with my friends as much as I used to anymore because everyone has things to do so I’ve been bored but my mom is anti-SL.. and if she ever see me playing it again she’d annoy the hell out of me. I was playing a sim-like game couple of weeks ago and when my mom saw it, she was like, “IS THAT SECOND LIFE?!”… Oh well.
Well I better go burn my files to CD before I forget. It’s almost 6.30 am. Then I’m going to browse SL for a bit before going to class.
So I’m testing this new application for my BlackBerry. It’s a wordpress application which makes it easier for me to post to my blog without loading my browser in my phone.
So anyways I’m just gonna go back and do nothing. Ciao.
I just realized I don’t write interesting blogs as I used to few years ago. Pathetic.
Anyways. I’ll write a long blog later but right now I’m just excited to say I have a new phone! Yes. I have finally bought a new phone. My Sony Ericsson z601 is still usable, and it’s used for my old number but yeah, now I have a new Blackberry Storm 2! It’s quite heavy though, not what I’m used to.. and I thought iPhones/iPods are heavy.. hehe. However I’m going to watch American Idol first so later.
Yesterday I finally received my original HORI screen protector for the DSi.
I ordered it from play-asia less than 2 weeks ago and it finally reached me. I got the fake screen protector when I bought the DSi which is normal in Malaysia and I screwed it up. I didn’t know how to put it on so it had scratches and holes on it. But this HORI one is soooo fricken easy to put on and it sticks flawlessly, like it’s not even on the screen. You have no idea how happy I am that the screen is brighter again.
Then I found out about this iPlayer that can play basically mostly any format on the DS/DSi but it’s quite expensive. USD$36+USD$20 shipping (I could opt for free shipping but it’ll take ages). I hate having to convert all videos into DPG before I can put it on my DSi. I’ll get it soon.
My PR class… suddenly we’re told that our last assignment would be a fricken group assignment.. URRRRRGHHHH! I hate this. I thought this semester we could avoid that but nooooo. I HATE group assignment. I’m already rushing for time for my final project and graduation showcase, now I have to worry on group project. Thing is, there’s 7 people in my group. I’m the only girl. And today in class, all we did during discussion was laugh like hell cuz the guys were being perverts that are into beastiality haha. I’m scared it’ll end up having only 2 or 3 people that will do the work. Oh well we’ll see. I usually don’t have good luck with group project.
I just typed a shitload of stuff to test blogging from dsi and I accidentally clicked cancel. FML

If you are by any chance looking for insurance quotes, you can get it from the website. I’ve already mentioned quite a few times before that insurance is important.. well to some it may not be, but in some situations, it’s vital to have insurance.

Bought it last Wednesday (Oct 7th 2009). Been a tough week to research, survey and deciding. I finally decided last minute that I wanted the pink NDSi because it actually look damn good in real rather than the picture. I’ve surveyed Low Yat and Sungei Wang so many times.. I found out that some Sg. Wang sellers are dumb stupid and they want to argue with me with the fact that firmware update 1.4 will block all flashcards, Japanese console is way cheaper (RM580-ish) and they also have the very expensive package (RM1100+). I wanted to buy from this woman at Low Yat for RM800 but she didn’t carry pink NDSi.
So at last, I decided to buy from this guy that i found at Low Yat forum. It’s extremely risky since this is my first deal from someone who doesn’t have a store, and anything could happen. However he is the only one offering Acekard 2i instead of fricken R4i and its clones. The deal price was RM775, but suddenly during that day he said price went up so I’d have to pay RM790 instead which is sooooorta true cuz pink color just launched, the price is still higher than the black one. Oh well. It’s still cheaper than other stores. And cheaper than getting it from Play Asia or something. At least he let me keep the original US charger.. I hate the fact that most stores open up the box, and exchange the charger with a cheap universal charger that’s compatible with Malaysia.

So far I’m loving my NDSi. I fucked up the screen protector though so I bought a new original HORI from Play Asia. Still haven’t arrived yet. I love the camera even though it’s very low quality but I’ve been having fun with it.. love the flipnote application which allows you to do flipbook animation. This would’ve come in handy when I had to do my flipbook animation :\ And if you have wifi connected, it’s like youtube for DSi where you can view animations and download them or comment them. Whatever you write for comment on your DSi will appear on the Flipnote Hatena site. Wanna see some of the comments I’ve made?
No regret. NDSi is better than DS Lite. I seriously hope I won’t lose this one as I’m officially broke and have no more money to replace it. Beside, I’m also saving for PC Fair in December to buy portable HDD 500 GB. It was extremely troublesome that when I went back to Ipoh for Eid break that I had to bring my big external HDD because my portable one died.
Anyways, I don’t know what to think anymore of Malaysia. When I went to Low Yat, there’s A LOT of stores that sells laptops, netbooks, accessories that aren’t MALAYSIAN and by this I mean Bangladesh people.. wtf. They no longer work those low class jobs, they now are entrepreneurs in Malaysia and educated…soon, they’ll conquer businesses in Malaysia and leave Malaysians out of job while they monopolize the industry. There’s way too many foreigners here now. Ain’t that awesome?
