Shipping Imported Cars & All That Jazz

I stumbled across this logistic company at this site: www.mtlworld.com
I
t’s a logistic company specializing in shipping vehicles to anywhere in the world.

It had me wondering. You see, I’ve never had the need to ship my car to anywhere because I don’t ever leave this damn country. But I can’t help but wonder how do you ship car from somewhere across the world to your new location. My friends have asked that question to me before. Obviously I don’t know. But I wonder how much would it cost if say.. someone wants to import a car they bought from say.. US to Malaysia. What would the requirement be? Most importantly, how much would it cost? I’m sure importing cars would not be cheap. But is it worth it?

Of course, I don’t know why anyone would want to import cars from the US to Malaysia anyway because they drive on the right side and we drive on the left side of the road. I have a friend who used a car he imported from US. I was wondering how did he survive with the toll haha. If you have someone with you, sure, he/she can help take the ticket for you, but if you’re driving alone? That’s gonna be troublesome.

Has anyone tried importing cars from US to Malaysia?
