What A Lazy Day.

I think I’m having PMS. I’ve been feeling down this past few days, and also my mood keeps changing. Been really tight financially too.. that’s not a good thing. Been thinking of opening an online shop to sell things. It’s gonna be a lot of hard work and money and time. I’m thinking about selling stuff like shirts, computer stuff, cute stuff… etc.

Heard of cafepress? It’s an online store where you can make and buy shirts.They have awesome shirts design. They have this really unique and cool breast cancer awareness merchandise and as a woman, it’s something that we should fear and be aware of. I fear of getting any type of cancer.. but this is the main because it affects a woman’s most precious asset – the boobs. So to support that, cafepress has shirts to support the cause.

Some are simple and nice but some are just cute and funny. I have one in particular that I wish to get – if only I had money.

Haha it’s pink on black and it has a cute skull! It’s so me. Plus the wording is funny – “TOUCH YOUR TATA’S“. Haha. If a guy sees this, and misunderstood it, they would try to touch some tata’s when it’s actually to support breast cancer awareness. But don’t get comfortable guys, because this cancer is not for women only. Guys can have breast cancer too though it’s rare. So guys should be aware of this too.

So yeah, shirts can help create awareness. You can make a change in someone’s life, directly or indirectly.

The Tooth of Wisdom

I think it’s about time I get my wisdom tooth on the right side of my mouth extracted.
But I’m scared of pain. I’m scared that it’ll damage the nerve as it’s an impacted tooth.
My dentist told me years ago that if it doesn’t bother me, I shouldn’t bother it. If I need to get it out, I’d need to be referred to the pro.

That scared the crap out of me.

One thing about going to the specialist is that, it will cost money. Don’t talk to me about government dental clinic because they don’t give a damn about your pain and all they wanna do is just extract that damn thing and be done with it. I’m still traumatized remembering mom’s teeth that she extracted when I was young. She pulled quite a few of her teeth and her gum wouldn’t stop bleeding for days. Then I saw my maid got her tooth extracted. It wouldn’t stop bleeding either! She was in so much pain.

I don’t have money to go to specialist. There’s one specialist in KL that I wanna go to. I don’t have any dental plan either that could help. This bites. Last month I found that my wisdom tooth is rotting or something. If I don’t act fast, I’m scared it will do a bigger damage to the other molar if it hasn’t already done some damage. I just need to find some time to go to KL for a checkup and see what the dentist said.

Claymation is Awesome.

Claymation is just awesome.

I’d love to do some claymation (it’s a stop motion animation by using clay). However, I had hell of a time doing stop motion animation for my animation class back in college, and I’m still a little bit traumatized by all the things that happened back then. However, it’s still an awesome thing and to do it, you need a lot, and I mean A LOT of patience for it because you’d be taking thousands and thousands of pictures, and you need to change the clay frame by frame. It’s a lot of work, but once it’s done, it’s so awesome.

Recently I bought Evil Dead bluray and when I was searching for evil dead stuff on youtube, I found this awesome claymation of Evil Dead which summarizes the movie in just 60 seconds. Check it out!

Samsung Corby II Phone Quick Review

I have a Samsung Corby II phone now! Yes it’s in pink :)

It was just a quick decision. Last month I saw this phone for Rm299 only (normal is RM399) and I’ve been wanting a new second phone because 1) I don’t want to mix personal numbers with business numbers and 2) I need a backup phone because my Blackberry’s battery drains real fast.

So I’ve been looking for a really cheap phone just for backup and business calls.. and it just so happen that this corby is cheap enough and has TOUCH SCREEN. I love touch screen. I have small fingers, so I like touch screen.

It has 3 colors available – pink, white and yellow (orange not available at the store I bought in).

The features are pretty basic but it does have integrated social networking apps – myspace, facebook and twitter.. also has gmail app but they’re all very basic and nothing fancy. What I don’t like about it is it only has gprs and EDGE connection and no HSDPA compared to Samsung Galaxy Mini which is an android phone. Cost RM499 but I wasn’t looking for expensive phone. I need the cheapest possible.

Touch screen is okay and responsive although it has no qwerty keyboard which I hate.. I’m used to qwerty keyboard that now it slows me down to message on this phone.. it does however have ‘bahasa melayu’ dictionary so at least it’s a bit easier. It also took me a while to figure out how to change ringtone. The volume isn’t that loud either compared to Galaxy mini..

It only has 2MP camera which is alright but not good enough compared to today’s standard with HD quality photos in phones.

However, if you’re looking for a light, thin, funky, enhanced basic phone.. corby II is good :) Now I have a separate phone number for other than personal calls so I’m happy. invitations

My Nintendo DS Lite!

I have a Nintendo DS Lite again!

I’ve been wanting a DS Lite for quite a while. I’ve been looking for the cheapest option everywhere and the cheapest I could find for a new set was RM375. However, that’s available in Singapore. Having them to post it here is quite risky plus I’d have to bear expensive charges of sending it back to Singapore should I ever need to claim warranty.

Last month, just so happened that someone was selling a used DS Lite in a forum based in Ipoh. Now, I’ve been against used stuff because I don’t like using stuff that’s been used by unknown people. You don’t know what they’ve done to it, whether they’ve dropped it, whether they caused problems to it and stuff like that.

However, I have my DSi. After bricking my Acekard 2i a while ago, I decided I want a backup DS Lite. I certainly can’t carry my DSi to anywhere I go because of what happened last time (my pretty metallic rose DS Lite was stolen from my bag) so that’s why I decided to accept used nintendo that’s cheap as possible. This guy happened to be based in my city, and after negotiating I got the cheapest price I could get – RM180!

That’s fucking cheap.

The one in the Singapore shop is cheaper – RM173 but again, it’s too risky. No box, plus I can’t test it… So I decided to quickly make a deal with this guy. Unfortunately he had laptop problem that night and couldn’t meet me the next day but would send his brother instead.. now that sounded like a suspicious first deal.. after reading all the con cases in the forum, I was skeptical. He was persistent to deal with me the next day too and doesn’t wanna wait the day after to deal with him.

At last I agreed, telling him to deal at somewhere nearby my place. The agreed time was 6 pm.. guess what time his brother arrived? 6.40 pm. Wtf. I waited there at KFC alone like an idiot because it was fasting month. There was nobody there except 3 staffs and me. I thought I got stood up. I was really pissed, plus mom was waiting in the car, really pissed too, and it was almost time to break the fast so mom wanted to go home to cook. steel buildings

As I was about to leave, his brother reached the place. Tested the thing, and I couldn’t test it for long but apart from the left upper button being a little hard to press (he already mentioned it in his forum post) everything else is working great. It doesn’t really bother me because I already have my DSi. Not that I use that button a lot. I made the deal with him. I can’t find any other console that’s cheaper than that plus located in my city. White is not my color though. I hated it. It looks yellowish for the buttons. So I pimped it a bit.

There! It looks much better now :D

Now I can bring it to anywhere I go because it’s smaller, lighter, not new, cheap. Now I have a backup console should I brick my cards again, longer playing hours and double gaming backups! Plus I can play with my guitar hero again yay.

Also, I took this to KL and played it in the train during the journey, and accidentally got addicted with ‘Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney‘. No wonder that game was so much popular.. it’s friggin fun!
