So this is a continuation from my previous post.

I mentioned that the tech guy said he wants to format my C drive. You know what? There was this one hilarious old guy who just talked too much and keep saying laptop dies frequently so the tech people can make money. He bought like 2 or more laptop which all died so he said buy CPU instead. I just smiled… my is 3 years old and this fatal BSOD is my first and it’s fixable.. then later he joked that he rather ‘format‘ me! Wtf. That’s just plain creepy.

So at first the tech guy said there’s no other way but to format, THEN he said that there’s other way where he can take out the hard disk and backup files. HELLO. WHY THE HELL DIDN’T YOU MENTION THAT EARLIER? He said it cost 30 bucks more. And I asked him how much would it cost if I don’t backup? He said 50 bucks. Then I thought UHH HELLO. I RATHER SPEND RM80 BUCKS THAN LOSE 320 GB OF STUFF. Wtf.

So he promised he’d call me to confirm what to backup before he formats my drive. Unfortunately a few days later (last Sunday) he called me and told me drive C is unreadable which means.. no backup :( I was quite sad. Drive D is readable for backup and I was like THANK GOD. At first he said drive D is not readable, and my heart stopped. Drive D is the partition where I stored EVERYTHING ELSE. My movies, my files, my everything. I learned my mistake before not to put important files on C drive. After he reads the folder names then I realized he made a mistake. Drive D is readable indeed.

Why Drive C is important?

Well sure all files can be re-downloaded and I can start fresh but the thing is, I didn’t get a chance to backup my webcam pics I took last October. It has sentimental values. Those are irreplaceable. I nearly cried at the thought of losing those pics.. there aren’t a lot, just about 10 or less pics. Then I googled. I found some advice on doing data recovery. I’ve tried this before long time ago but it didn’t work but well, it’s worth a try again this time.

So on Monday, my laptop was ready and it’s friggin back to VISTA! It was my original windows that came with this laptop. OMG. I cringe at the thought of using VISTA again. You see, after getting used to Windows 7 Ultimate for a year, VISTA seems to be an epic failure from Microsoft. It’s just plain shitty. I tried using it again but after an hour I couldn’t stand it anymore and reinstalled Win 7 and all is good again :D Win 7 is Microsoft’s best OS evaaaar! metal buildings

I spent 2 days trying to recover my webcam pics with data recovery softwares. Oh my God, you have no idea what kind of pictures that showed up. Even ones of people I never wished to remember again. I’m happy to say that even though I’ve lost most of the stuff, but after going through 40,000+++ files one by one, I managed to salvage some pics including the one I wanted the most.

This is one of the pics. Why is this special? This is a reminder when I was happy, thin, and blemish-free because I was stress-free. This was only a couple of days before my whole world just crumbled. A couple of days before a part of my life was taken away from me.

Please ignore my pajama though.. and ugly no makeup look… it was taken at around 4 am-ish.

A PICTURE OF NIKKO.

It’s not that clear but he appeared in a couple of photos, and this one where I accidentally captured his face as he was getting up. Why is this so important? Because this is the LAST picture of Nikko, before he fell sick a couple of days later and died a week later. I am extremely happy that this picture is recovered. It’s my last memory of Nikko before he was brutally taken away from me and my depression starts from there with one after another bad shits happening.

I wish to be thin again. I wish to be happy again.

Now I need to redownload all the craps again, and later blog about my vacation in Damai Laut. I’m going to KL this Monday!
