Electronic Cigs?
Have you heard of an electric cigarette? When I went shopping in KL, I passed by a booth that sells them.. I’m not a heavy smoker, nor an addict.. people say that if you haven’t smoked, do not ever try because you will become addicted. In my case, I’m not gonna lie that I have smoked before, on certain ‘emergency’ situations but I’m glad to say that I have not become an addict unlike my friends who could smoke a few packs a day. Also by emergency situations mean when I’m majorly stressed. When I’m majorly stressed I’d get painful migraine, and the only way to instantly cure migraine when you don’t have medicine is smoking, believe it or not. I used to do this when I was doing internship. So basically, in a year, I smoke once, or twice.. or none at all. Usually I would try to refuse a cig because I have asthma, and it’s so not good for my lungs.
But I can’t imagine how some of my friends could smoke few packs a day.. I can’t stand even stand one fag. I DESPISE the taste of it in my mouth. So what is this electronic cigarette I hear? Apparently it can help you stop smoking? I’ve never seen it personally or seen a demo of how it works but if you’re a heavy smoker, and want to stop but can’t.. this could be an alternative for you. It does however contain nicotine? So in a way it might not be safe? Well I don’t know for sure as I don’t really know how it works. It’s also rechargeable. So it’s good if you’re in a non-smoking environment but aching for a fag.
If you have tried this, what is it like? I’m just curious.

Ahh interesting.. now I’m all curious lol. I feel like going to the booth when I’m back in KL and ask the person to show me a demo or something.. people invent anything nowadays..
haha I would never use ‘fag’ if i was in the US
But somehow everytime I say cig, I’m tempted to say ‘fag’ instead.. maybe I’ve seen too much British shows hehe -

Well its an intersting topic & neat that you post stuff like this.
As far as nicotine being dangerous, well, it is but only in the sense that caffeine is. I.e., a little bit is a harmless stimulant, but too much at one time can be harmful. As a matter of fact, (a.) nicotine is similar to caffeine – (Notice they both have -ine at the end? There’s a reason for that -ine. You don’t want the chemical details, do you?) and (b.) Tomatoes contain nicotine. Did you know that? Just a tiny bit of nicotine.
The danger from cigarettes comes from the smoke itself.
And did you now that cigarettes contain many spices? Like chocolate & cinammon? Yes…That’s why cigarettes SMELL so nice when you open the pack. Its not because tobacco smells good.
Do you want me to bore you to death with more? Nah…I didn’t think so…

Yes they give a person nicotine, but without the smoke that gives lungs “tar” & carcinogens. Basically, liquid nicotine is inside the e-cigarette. The elctronic part “atomizes” the nictotine (like a spray can) that the user can breathe in.
So therefore, 2 things are satisfied: (a.) Nicotine and (b.) the “mechanical addiction” of holding a cigarette to mouth.
But I myself ‘ve never tried one. I like the real things. (about a pack a day, no more). And, to further answer your question, I don’t know a single soul who has used one of these. We are located in the ‘heart of tobacco country’ here, so that might have something to do with it as well.
Ha ha funny you call these things “fags”. Over here a word like that would cause a fight.
