ndsl or ndsi?

Yesterday I went to a place here in Ipoh where they sell all electronics stuff… well of course can’t compare to Low Yatt or Digital Mall in KL but it’s the best we can get. I was surveying the price of nintendo ds lite and dsi. Good thing is, NDSL has gone cheaper. I can get the whole package like I did (R4, 2GB memory card, screen protector and crystal casing) for roughly RM520 instead of RM700 that I got last year.. well I had pouch thrown in. If I just want the console, the cheapest I see is about RM440.
However, NDSi is fucking expensive here. If I want the console + R4i + screen protector + 2GB memory card with games = Rm8xx! Almost a fricken RM900! Crazy. Well it’s almost the same if I imported from Play-Asia without all other stuff.. but oh man that’s expensive. I have someone from Low Yatt forum to suggest me the lowest price possible.. he listed as DSi RM 6xx.. which is quite ok, however it’s just the console. If that’s the case, I can get flashcart online.. just around USD$13 which is way cheaper instead of buying it here but I’m risking myself. If the product is spoiled, then I’m screwed.
I still don’t know what to get. If I get the same NDSL as my old one, I can still play my Guitar Hero… no worries about new firmware update that will brick the flashcart due to their anti piracy protection… and it’s cheaper now so I can save money. And there’s no other color that I love other than metallic rose.
However, with DSi, I have extra camera feature.. which is not a big thing but it’s a nice add on where you can upload pic directly to facebook.. download dsiware… FLIPBOOK.. omg that’s like the coolest DSi application.. no rebooting when changing cartridge, but it’s more expensive.. plain color, but it’s okay, I can just pimp it up with stickers. No more guitar hero. And new firmware will keep bricking flashcart.. argh.
I saw Promotional flash drive, but not for portable external HDD… I’m finding it extremely difficult to carry my huge non portable external HDD back Ipoh, and can’t take it anywhere. I want 500Gb :\ PC fair is like couple of months away x.x Well it’s okay, that gives me time to save money.
EDIT: After watching a couple of DSi unboxing videos on youtube and looking at the reviews, I have made up my mind, I’m getting a DSi. I don’t care, I want a DSi.

I”m requested to review Murray Feiss, and I thought it’s some person I don’t know but it’s actually a brand name of lighting. I remember when mom was renovating this Ipoh house, I had to go from one lighting store to another to find the light I want.. but you guys in the US, can easily open a computer, browse a site and have them delivered. Ah, the wonders of internet. Why can’t Malaysia have online ordering easy like that? We’re still very new with ordering stuff.. some of basic necessities still requires starting up the car and going to the store. You guys have amazon, best buy etc, we have localized eBay and lelong where majority of them are scammers. Sigh.

I can’t sleep. I woke up at 4 am and now I can’t go back to sleep which sucks cuz I have to drive back hopefully around 3 am so I could reach 5 am on Monday. I have full day tomorrow which also sucks, plus I have some rush editing job to do.
I’ve downloaded “Funny Games US” but I haven’t watched it yet. If I have time today I’ll watch it.
What do you think of online storage? Like for my shitty connection, I’m sure it’ll take forever to backup my stuff.. but I don’t know. What if you lose your stuff from external drives? You dropped it, or it stopped working, got stolen etc I can’t decide if storing stuff online is better than storing stuff offline on your own external drives. MyOtherDrive gives free online storage of 2GB, the rest you have to pay monthly or yearly, up to 10TB. My stuff is more than 2GB, but still less than 1 TB..mostly movies and videos and pictures… urgh it’ll take forever to backup my stuff online, let alone downloading them again for future use. I wish the net is fast.
Urgh I still haven’t finished treatment for my final project – I have absolutely no idea what to do! And storyboard for the grad thing..sponsorship.. ARGH.

Lol, I’ve heard of heated blanket for human, but I’ve never heard of heated blanket for animals… hello, no winter in Malaysia, of course I wouldn’t know. I mean I saw heated blankets on tv, but never heard of ones for animals. That’s so cute… that gets me wondering, what my cats would be like in winter? They wouldn’t sleep on their own bed but pee on it, if it’s winter and I have to get a heated bed for them, I wonder how they will react. My cat Jojo hates aircond so I wonder what she’ll be like.

Blah. I hate my life. I wish I could just sit at a corner and just die.
Anyways. I saw Dead Snow 2 days ago. It was awesome. Everything was predictable though so I wasn’t scared at all, nothing shocked me however I absolutely love at how gory the movie is. Ripped limbs, intestines..gallons of blood… NAZI zombies…absolutely awesome. I still prefer the old fashioned zombie though.. where they walk slow, and dumb as hell at first and only looks for human flesh or brain instead of the nazi zombie where they act just like human, only stronger and well.. with rotten decomposed body. I still think Night of the Living Dead to be the best classic of zombie. There’s nothing scarier than being trapped and seeing dead bodies coming back to life… basically, the good ol’ zombie apocalypse.
Right after that, I watched The Mist on tv.. oh, such an awesome movie. Now, this movie managed to make me interested in it, made me feel the darkness, the horror.. actually managed to make me feel scared a bit.. I was so into it. Awesome cinematography that captures the horror of the trapped people, excellent story, excellent acting.. that preacher woman annoys the devil out of me, and it was such a pleasure to see her get shot.

I however hated the ending with passion. It was so disappointing. I was hoping the brave people would survive after they tried so hard to escape..but I did not expect at all, that the guy would kill ALL of them.. even his cute son, but before the creature managed to eat him up, he was saved! ARGH! To think that if only he had waited just a short while, ALL of them could be saved is just so fricken disappointing. I was so pissed.

But then I saw it was based from a book.. and I saw who the author is.. Stephen King. No wonder the title sounds familiar, I might have seen the book somewhere before. Stephen King is an incredible author. Now, if The Mist managed to scare me, make me feel the horror, fear the creature, pity the characters, gets annoyed at the characters, you know that’s a damn good movie/story.
Other than the ending, the CGI was a bit too obvious at some part. I just downloaded the movie. Surprisingly it only took around 3 hours or so … which is shocking since I”m in Ipoh and usually the net is shitty, especially for torrents.
Wow this site has fulfillment services. It’s something like you put your brand logo, name etc on everything like packaging box, envelope.. if you have a business, this is something you need to make your company stand out. I wish I can open my own business, so I can get money… so I can buy whatever I want.

If you haven’t been following my facebook updates, I have unfortunately lost my baby, my lovely metallic rose ndsl that I bought last year. I have been extremely upset and depressed, still am, but I have to pretend I’m okay so mom won’t get worried like she did on the day I lost my ndsl. I lost my ds console, 2x4GB and 1x2GB microSHDC cards (one I just bought last month at pc fair x.x) and 2 card readers, a mario stylus, extra stylus … and probably original guitar hero on tour game cartridge cuz I can’t remember if it’s in there or not… but it’s useless unless you have the guitar controller which is with me.
Now I don’t know how I lost it. It wasn’t in my bag after I got back from shopping, and I”m guessing that someone stole it from my bag during the crazy handbag sale.. which I bought like fricken 8 of them… maybe it’s my punishment from God for being so greedy but I can’t help it.. they were dirt cheap. I am however thankful that I didn’t lose my wallet which would create chaos with all my cards in there… or my phone.
I was so devastated, that I didn’t feel like being in Ipoh anymore.. I wanted to go back to KL. Everytime I’m in Ipoh, I’d lose something of my properties. I hate Ipoh now. Too much bad memories. But then I was thinking.. at least I lost my NDS, which is replaceable.. what if I lose someone? Since I keep hearing about road accidents that claimed lives.. or my laptop, which I definitely can’t afford a new one.
Speaking of road accidents.. omg, my journey back last Thursday was hell. Not only I had to drive for 4 hours instead of 1 1/2 hours, I had to drive under extremely heavy rain all the way with extremely limited visibility. All I could see was the emergency lights that blink on SOME cars driving at 30-40 kmph.. Imagine that, 40 kmph on a highway. If I didn’t step it up, it would’ve taken 6-8 hours to reach Ipoh… even driving to Singapore takes 5.5 hours x.x Then of course the massive traffic jam because people starting to drive back to hometown. Gah, hell.
I had a freakish dream today that someone stole my laptop. Even in dream I could feel the fear, the sadness and all that shit. Laptop is replaceable too, but it’s not a matter of replacing what can be replaced, it’s about losing what CAN’T be replaced.. like photos and videos of yourself and have some strangers look at them.
Anyways, I’m definitely replacing my NDSL. Mom is helping me because she felt sorry for me. Everyone who knows me knows how much I love my ds, and how I care for it, and how obsessed I am with it. Thing is, now I don’t know if I should get the same metallic rose NDSL again which should be cheaper now or get NDSi instead which cost about the same as I first bought my lost NDSL. I have to do research again T___T I don’t really care about camera and all that crap.. but I really love the feature where you don’t have to turn off your ds to switch card, which is extremely convenient. But it would render my guitar hero controller absolutely useless, and no more guitar hero.
And it might take a while for me to get my new ds even though I can afford one now. Oh what would I do during boring hours when I don’t have ds with me??

I’m sorry I haven’t blogged in a while.
Things has been so-so. Ramadhan is almost ending and in just few days, prolly Sunday or Monday, it’s Eid celebration already.. Things hasn’t been so great at college. I found out I have to delay my graduation for one semester because I have to take one more elective and they only offer 1 elective this semester and I need to take two. And instead of taking visual communication and Intro to DTP, I’m friggin stuck with Public Relations. A lot of reading and understanding to do , argh. I hate that. At least I’m not stuck with marketing or consumer behavior which is good because I do like PR, I just hate reading and exam. However, even though I have to come back for one elective subject next semester, I’m given special exception to still do the graduation showcase this year, and still finish in time before the convocation so it’s all still good… I guess. I hope. I’m still with my batch. I just wish I’d get out of there sooner instead of still lingering for another semester. I was really hoping to be done by this year 
If I didn’t have to take PR this sem, I would be so free with no class at all Last Monday I had a good long 3 hours chat with my lecturer on my final project, and we talked ALOT.. from ideas to dead bodies to Sept 11 jumpers to dead animals etc.. good thing my lecturer and I have those interest in common. I went to PR class after that.. I’m SO GLAD it’s not with mass comm students because they’re now in a different faculty of their own.. but yeah, I’m with the advertising students so half of them are familiar faces. Even though I’m the only VA, at least I’m not a lonely VA. The lecturer scared me a bit at first. As soon as she entered the class, she was pissed about something and acted like she had a stick up her ass but later she loosen up and looked nice and friendly.
I was a complete blur in class :\ How am I gonna survive PR exam?
So what I’m gonna do this semester is to watch A LOT of movies to get some ideas on what to do for my final project.. I have downloaded like 7 movies in 2 days..

Kickin’ It Old School is so funny.. I LOVE Bobby Lee and Jamie Kennedy… Bring It On: Fight to the Finish wasn’t bad actually. I thought it’s just the same ol’ boring cheerleading movie like the previous Bring It On’s, but it’s actually quite okay.. just that I still think the very first Bring It On was the best and will remain the best. Wieners is also quite funny. I watched it on HBO, however I’m not fond with some disgusting scenes. I haven’t watched the rest that I downloaded. I have however just watched I Love You, Man and it’s quite cool 
Not a big laugh material, but I still like it.
I’m downloading Suspiria, The Shining and Dead Snow… I heard about Dead Snow from my ex lecturer.. he said it’s an awesome (nazi) zombie movie so can’t wait to watch it. Well I’m gonna go watch Bad Taste now and then sleep. Next week is one week holiday, can’t wait! Ciao.

End of Vacation

My two weeks vacation ends in a few hours. I thought I’d have another day because usually I don’t go on faculty briefing day. It’s pointless. All you do is just sit there and listen to boring speeches reminding you of things you’d hear over and over again every new semesters for the past 2 years. Unlike my old college, you don’t need to go to this briefing shit. You go once, then that’s it.
I’m having the worst spinning headache right now because my right eye is having a bad allergic reaction to dust probably, and I wouldn’t stop rubbing my eye so now it’s probably infected, and it’s swollen and it hurts. Gah. So tomorrow morning I’m driving back to KL. I have this stupid grad showcase meeting shit at 10am, wtfbbq. If not for that, I’d still be free tomorrow.. then I have to do stupid slides to promote our showcase, which means after meeting I’d have to stay on and go through the faculty briefing thing.
2 more weeks of fasting, then Eid! I can’t week. I can’t stand fasting while watching everyone else munching yummy stuff.. I can’t stand not drinking something. I can’t stand watching fast food ads on tv. However, 2 weeks of fasting has passed, and I don’t think I’ve lost and weight.. but maybe I’ve been gaining. Gah. Has anyone heard of testoripped? I don’t know.. there’s like countless number of diet pills out there claiming to really work.. and usually cost a bomb, but do they really work? I gave up hoping pills or diet craps would help losing weight. I’m not that strong anymore to resist food.
Well I’m going to enjoy my last few hours of freedom by……….. doing nothing. Oh! This morning I saw Cory & Stephanie’s wedding online.. I’m a fan of Cory (he’s famous in youtube). It was a lovely wedding! Some people were rude in the chat room though… and funny how some youtube celebs tried to entertain us while the newlyweds went out to take pics. Unfortunately my connection started to suck when the fun was about to begin.. they were gonna dance and all so I missed that. Hopefully it’ll be uploaded online. I think it’s interesting to broadcast wedding online.. I might do that.. if I become famous that is cuz if I’m not, who the hell would care to watch, right??

People nowadays are so easy. You can learn online and get cert or diploma by not even having to go to campus, get headache with group projects and shits with people.. and stuff like that. I think you can find almost any courses online. You can even get medical assisting certification by learning online.
Yesterday I was checking some uni sites and UCLA offers online summer course on filmmaking. I so wanna register. It won’t be as much fun as experiencing technical details yourself with the equipment but on theory subject it’s not bad. It’s not like I’ve learned much from my shitty college. Plus I”d get a certificate from UCLA.. that’s like one of the best unis for filmmaking courses. Maybe after I work I’ll go for online learning thing. We’ll see.
