I kinda miss the good ol’ time of Second Life when it was fun. I still like building stuff in it.. I had good practise of 3D because it’s quite similar.. and I loved attending building glasses where I get to make furnitures, get free gazebo kits and build my own gazebo… and lots more.. I even modeled my assignment in there so I could have a rough idea of how it would turn out (the class being 2D and 3D class). Sorry, random thoughts of the night. It’s 5 am and I can’t sleep..  I’ll blog more tomorrow… lots to blog about, if I have time, lol.

Harry Potter & Half Blood Prince

I watched Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince!
It was t3h aw3someness!

I’m back with my tradition – watching HP on the first morning screening. I missed it last year because I had no one to go with. I saw the sneak peak yesterday on HBO and the clips looked awesome so no matter what I wanted to see it today. So I booked the ticket online and at the time I booked it, all the back seats were taken, there was only 2 seats left on the 4th row from the back I think but today the whole row behind me was empty, wtf. Prolly only a few seats were taken but the rest? EMPTY. Wtf. But nevermind, I had a perfect seat, right in the center. Not too far back, not too front. And yeah I went alone.

The movie itself was awesome and…the word I long to say – satisfying. HP has been quite a disappointment for me since Prisoner of Azkaban (3rd one). I’ve always felt that they left out the ‘magical’ world of HP and just concentrate on the plot and darkness. But I’m so glad that the 6th one is damn satisfying for me. It has all the elements that made the 1st and 2nd to be great, in my opinion.

Okay, what’s so satisfying? It has the magical element. One special thing about HP is the magical world. They brought back the magic of HP’s world. They ignored this before after the 2nd one. The first half of the movie is more relaxed. That’s what I like. Sure there’s some dark moment but it doesn’t get intense until the next half of it. It’s FUNNY! Previous HP has been — well dark. Too dark. But glad this one they included some funny scenes. Then quidditch! :D What else.. oh yeah, expect some funny ‘romance’ scene because hey, they are growing up. Hormones kicking in.

They included very intense moment. Trust me, one scene made everyone jumped in their seat, screaming. Then they included sad moment. Very sad. At the end, they leave you wanting for more of it.. so which means I can’t wait for the next movie. Glad they’re making the final one into 2 parts.

Oh yeah, the movie is pure orgasmic. Previously, only the 2nd and 4th one was pure orgasmic for me because of Tom Riddle’s evilness and death (in 2nd) and Cedric Diggory’s death (in 4th).. but this one — finally Draco gets lots of screen time as he’s now part of the plot so yeah, pure orgasmic. Especially how evil he looks in this one. Totally hot. I won’t spoil any scene for you though.

Oh and I really love the kid and the guy who played young Tom Riddle. The teenage Tom Riddle is perfect at portraying Tom. He’s like so innocent looking yet so very evil, like you can feel his ‘evil’ from his look.. like ‘The Omen’ movie. I actually felt creeped out watching the teenage Tom Riddle.

So yeah, Half Blood Prince did not leave me somehow unsatisfied like the previous 3 films, so it was great. I have to admit, I’ve only read halfway through the 6th book and still haven’t touched the 7th book. I listened to a few chapters yesterday (Half Blood Prince’s audio book) before I fell asleep though. I should start listening again, then listen to audio book 7. I’m lazy to read books.

Sorry I have a thing for bad boys. Anyways. On totally different topic, I need new face skin careedfa. Ones I’ve been using don’t really work anymore. I’m wondering if Dr. Murad is good? I’ve heard good things about the product but I don’t know.. I can’t easily trust any brands nowadays.

Next movie I can’t wait to watch: The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Saw the poster of it on my way out of the cinema — hot Edward Cullen and hot Jacob Black (so glad they make his hair short now).. can’t get any better than that. *fangirl mode* But that’s not until November 27th. :(

Bathroom

I feel so tired lately, and restless.. I so wish that I have a tub so I can soak in warm water, with bubbles and light some aromatherapy candles around, and get my laptop in there and just watch a movie for like 2 hours.. yes, while soaking in the tub. lol. I’d so totally do that. It’s so relaxing. When I was in Ipoh last month, I kinda did that, minus the candles. It was awesome. Sadly, I only have shower.. luckily, after I think a year or so? That mom fixed the water heater.. at least hot water can also relax muscles.

Also in Regalodge hotel, like they have those faucet style shower instead of those water heater thing, so like the water pressure is like omg. I so missed that. I hate that once you have the water heater thing, the water pressure starts to suck. Gah. Hmm speaking of shower, maybe I should go take a nice hot shower now so I feel more fresh and relax. I’ll do that.

Michael Jackson’s Memorial

I finally have some time to blog tonight.

I have come to realize that I need a new 1 TB external HDD. This semester, I have so much video files with huge sizes that they start to eat my space. PC Fair is at the end of the month, so gonna try to somehow find a way to get some money for new HDD ..AND.. laptop cooler, cuz I badly need it. However, my one and only tv in my room is starting to really make loud noises sometime so I’m scared that it can die anytime, which means, if I don’t have backup money to buy another cheap tv, I’m screwed. Televisions are quite cheap nowadays, but I still can’t afford them. I’m so sick of watching a small 14 in tv.

So last Wednesday morning, around 1 am, I watched Michael Jackson’s memorial live on tv and online at CNN.com. CNN did a cool collab with facebook that allows people watching the video to update their status there, so everyone was updating their status like crazy as if they’re chatting, wtf. The memorial was extremely EMOTIONAL. Seriously. I cried. I did not expect that. I was disappointed with the closed casket though but later I found out why. When Mariah Carey started the memorial with her singing, and her voice was like cracking as if she was about to cry, that was sad. It got even sadder when Brooke Shields broke down.. when Jermaine sang Charlie Chaplin’s song from the movie Modern Times, gah too sad! I started tearing up.. at the end when Marlon spoke, I was already in tears BUT when PARIS spoke about her dad.. that was it.. I started bawling my eyes out! Imagine, you’re 11 and someone close to you just suddenly passed away..that has got to be traumatizing so Paris really made me sad. It was weird to see Prince and Blanket just chewing gum emotionless though.

I stayed up until 5 am watching the memorial, along with updating and refreshing facebook because some people were watching it too at cnn.com.

I have more to blog about but I’ll do it tomorrow. I’m so tired right now, I stayed up all night last night finishing my video assignment which thank god, had positive feedback from my lecturer or else I stayed up and worked my ass off for nothing. I’ll post it here sometime soon. Right now I have to do some stuff, relax, then sleep but gah, Saturday class tomorrow morning. I need to start blogging for my other sites .. gah, been too busy. This semester has been my most hectic semester, I can’t believe we’re going into week 9 already.

Oh my uncle came here for a week.

Graduation Showcase

I had a long day yesterday.

I went to class. After that shot just one scene for the media studies sketch.. that did not go as planned as we planned 3 scenes. Then I had to wait until fricken 4.30 pm for meeting. Alone. Cuz everyone else had class at 3 pm and Jackie had to go home. Why they moved it to 4.30 pm instead of the usual 3 pm is beyond me.

However, it was one of the most hilarious meetings I’ve ever been to. I haven’t had that much laugh or pure entertainment for quite a long time. Okay basically, all of us was there except for Hairi cuz he was late so we started of with theme. I suggested like those aristocrat or masquerade theme. Shi Wei with movie theme and Sherra with Greek theme. Majority voted movie theme. But we can still incorporate the other 2 themes in. I can have whatever theme i want later because I’m the only one from VA that is graduating (gah Jackie, whyyyy x.x) but I’ll also be the only one doing all the planning and designing of my own booth. Great.

When Hairi arrived like half an hour later we started the committee voting and it was so fucking hilarious. Everyone has a position, and I certainly don’t want to be president because I have a lot of crap to do, especially since I’m the only VA major, so I was hoping for a position I like to do most – PR/Promotion. And awesome, Hairi nominated me for PR and majority voted me so I got it :D My partner is Helmi.

It was so funny cuz me, Helmi, Kathy and Hairi are set with Sherra being president (and also she’s the most qualified than others) so she got nominated twice, yet we told everyone to not vote for her and reserve her for the president position.. haha. So yes she’s the president. I also volunteered to be behind-the-scene videographer along with Helmi the photographer and Shi Wei. I should’ve recorded the whole election :\

Meeting went on until almost 6.30 pm, we got locked in the 2nd floor .. then I went to Wendy’s and they have this new promotional ala-carte pepper stacked burger for RM4.99 and it was so awesome.. plus it was Friday so Frosty shake has 50% off AND Chilli is on promotion for RM2 .. omg. It was like my happy moment at Wendy’s. Then I got stuck in traffic jam, and me being stupid did a u-turn, tried to take the highway. At first it looked clear so I was speeding real fast until suddenly cars stopped right before PJ exit due to major bumper-to-bumper traffic jam and I tried to brake but it wouldn’t stop in time.. luckily the next lane was empty and no car behind me so I quickly switched lane while trying to brake otherwise I would’ve crashed into the car in front of me and die. Or at least, be terribly injured.

I reached home at 8 pm >.>I was so tired, and somehow my left leg was in pain so today I decided to skip class to rest. I’m regretting it now.

Oh yeah I want to talk a bit on mesothelioma. What it is – it’s actually a cancer caused by asbestos. Even asbestos can cause you cancer. I’ve blogged about this before but it was quite a while ago. Actually, people needs to be aware of this because you hear so much of other sickness and cancer that something as Mesothelioma cancer is easily ignored yet it is fatal. So if you work with asbestos, do take note on this and how to prevent this from happening because hey, prevention is better than cure right?
