At work and I have finished my editing of Robofair, for the Malaysia Book of Record… I have nothing to do now… I can’t do anything else until I show it to them so they can tell me what needs to be fixed or added so…yeah… I’m gonna blog a bit. Yesterday I was happy to spend some time with Skyler even though she was bitching at me earlier for being late.. and I couldn’t help it cuz Kelana Jaya’s LDP highway always have BAD traffic jam…and I really mean bad. Ate at Ikea <3 I love the meatballs. And then we just had fun taking pics (she was taking pics for her assignment..and she was just like extremely random things)

When I go home today I have to get everything ready for midterm on Monday… since my supervisor still haven’t finished the report to be given to my lecturer on Monday, so I decided to go for the afternoon session and still come to work in the morning. I should get stuff printed out tomorrow x.x

My first ‘income’ from this internship.

I”m no longer completely broke lol. Thing is, I desperately need a 1TB external HD… like right now.. I was gonna wait until PC Fair which is in April but I desperately need one. I have GIGS of videos of my work-related that I can’t keep in my laptop cuz it’s running out of space… Another thing is that I need to pay for my domain. How extremely hard money come, and how extremely easy money go :( I also need MP3 players…

Last Wednesday, as in my birthday, I went to the night market with my colleagues and got home quite late… as in almost 9 pm and I was surprised that mom cooked something special for me.. glutinous rice (in Malay culture, glutinous rice is a food symbol of gratitude etc) and some other stuff, with special table setting… I was so touched that I nearly cried but I didn’t cuz I didn’t want to embarrass myself lol. Mom and I don’t get along a lot, we argue every single day…but that was the most special surprise she has done in like…ever… so I was really touched.

Ok I’m gonna blog while the net is fine. You see, the wireless at work that currently everyone is using is slow as hell. It’s not shitmyx though. Maxis broadband. I can’t even load a damn thing! So yesterday I got so fedup I decided to find a way to make the other one work (shitmyx)…and somehow I managed to get the other wireless working so shhhhhh…. my net is good at the moment..well until someone disconnects it, or uses the fax. I don’t want to use Maxis Broadband..it suuuuuuuuucks…! Why aren’t they using p1 Wimax???

Just a boring day on my birthday.. mom said we’ll go out and eat this weekend as my bday present lol I should get something for myself for this birthday…hmmm. I’m completely broke though. Speaking of broke, today I’m supposed to pay for my domain, aaargh :( Not enough money. Hate being poor. Well, hate not having someone to help me when I’m in need like back in 2005 with H. :(

Somehow I have a stomach ache… :( Bah.

EDIT// I just got an email from my lecturer saying next Monday or Tuesday depending on which day and time I choose, is the midterm! Argh. Now I have days of diary entries to write.. I’ve been too busy that I don’t have time to write in it… then I have to rush preparing my portfolio and all other related shit …get some printed out… and i can’t remember if I have to make powerpoint slides and report or not.. have to go back and look… plus at the same time I have to remember to give my supervisor the paper to write a report on me…

Eh… what are they gonna write about me?? Hopefully nothing bad :(

PETALING JAYA: Streamyx broadband users will have to bear with sluggish surfing speeds until March 5 due to technical problems, according to Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM).

TM said in a statement that there has been a disruption of TM’s Internet services since Feb 18 due to circuit faults on the Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) between Malaysia and the United States.

Due to this, customers using Internet services may now experience slow browsing while accessing content hosted in the United States, said the statement.

Additionally, customers using Internet Protocol services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the United States may also experience some service degradation.

To alleviate the problem and ease the congestion, some links have been rerouted, TM said.

During restoration process, traffic to North America may experience minor degradation while traffic to other countries would not be affected.

That, people, is why I feel so psychotic and want to kill everyone at TMPoint for their shittiest broadband service ever. And what’s pathetic is that, they’re the monopoly. Seriously, give me a retarded moron right now so I can’t bash him up to pulp cuz I’ve had enough with Streamyx fucking slow net. I’ve had ENOUGH.

It has been a very much pain in the donkey arse to load websites, be it at work or at home. But despite the fucked up connection, my Adobe After Effects CS4 has finished downloading, yay. Took 2 days to download when it usually take one night (I go to sleep and it’ll be done when I wake up). I’ll install it later. My Adobe Master Suite CS4 is still downloading… fucking 5+ GB. x.x Been downloading for days.

Me and my colleague, a junior editing is like stressing out at our current task…we’re supposed to edit some biography type show for this legendary Malaysian artist…the thing is, with old people, plus legendary, they tend to be extremely fussy… they want this, they want that… so I’m kinda like stressed cuz I”m doing montage and graphics for it and I’m not sure if they’ll like any of it.

Yesterday we had a meeting at the other office all of a sudden at 5 pm… I thought it’s gonna be about the movie, but turned out it’s more like a counseling session.. haha.. and a get-to-know each other type of meeting.. because since our 2 offices are separated, we barely know each other from the other office. It was sooooo fricken funny. I won’t go in detail what happened but the meeting lasted until 8.30 pm with lots of weird, funny stuff happening. At least they gave us some ‘unhealthy’ snacks lol… “CHICKEDEES!” lol. If you’re Malaysian you’ll know what that is. But the guys took most of the snacks >.> lol.

I got home at 10.30 pm and ate my KFC and just..passed out. x.x I was soooo dead tired.

Anyways, the past few days has been extremely boring. Not helping that it’s been raining hard. Makes me all depressed and gloomy. Anyways nothing much happening on Friday. I spent my day trying to master After Effects.. but what the fuck is up with the internet connection for the past one week? It has been absolutely shit.. and I’m not the only one affected. I’m downloading at like what… less than 5 kbps? Shit.

After work on Friday I decided to go to The Summit in Subang Jaya cuz I wanted some AE tutorials DVD.. and my colleague says there’s no other place (and it’s cheaper and closer too) so I had no choice but to got to Summit… rah.. I was stuck in extremely bad traffic jam. I finally go to the place like almost an hour later, when it should’ve taken like what…15 minutes or less? Anyways.. wtf is up with the RM4 per entry parking? So that means if I wanna go there for 10 minutes, I have to pay RM4? Crazy.

Summit has got to be the most boring mall ever. It was soooo empty and I don’t know…gloomy? I hated it. But I did get 3 AE tutorials DVD (4 discs altogether) for like RM45.. fucking cheap. Other place would’ve cost RM60 (RM15×4). I wanted the whole Adobe CS4 Master Suite but it cost like RM48.. gah too expensive. I need CS4 version of everything I use (AE, Premiere Pro, Illustrator) and I would usually download it, but fucking net! GAH. This piss me off. I also saw a DVD with all 3 “CREEPSHOW” movies that I’ve been wanting for so long but didn’t have any money :(

I used to think it’d be cool to go to college just next to a mall, cuz my college’s Subang Jaya branch is next to Summit..but after seeing Summit, I take that back. That mall sucks. But it’s cool when you want pirated softwares and movies.. or slutty looking clothes.

My birthday is in 2 days!

Haha I just saw Kal Penn in “24″ ad… weird to see him in serious action series when I’ve seen him in Harold & Kumar lol.

Saturday.. well barely anyone was in the office so I was bored to death, learning AE with fucky net. I stayed until almost 6 pm when it was thundering nonstop.. afraid it might rain I rushed home only to be stuck in a massive traffic jam.. in HEAVY RAIN. I couldn’t even see the road. I decided to stop by at the nearby restaurant.. and there’s this waiter who’s been extremely nice to me and mom cuz we’re regular customer there lol. So I was eating alone, chatting.. etc… and him telling me he, too, goes clubbing which I thought was so hilarious.. and I got the most generous discount and a free roti canai (Canai bread) that the waiter secretly ordered for me, haha. So nice of him.

I had a very boring Sunday. Slept most of the day, catching up on my sleep. Speaking of sleep, I should sleep now. It’s 4 am, wtf.

Well  I can blog now. Net has been bad at work since 2 days ago.. I wasn’t able to load a page at all. I think it was stupid Streamyx… my connection at home was wacky too. Today is a bit better. Anyways..I”m taking a little break now. I’m so hungry. Yesterday as soon as I arrived at work, I was told to go to the other office to learn Final Cut Pro.. wee. We stayed there until 1 pm and came back to this other office.. waaaah they served my fave spicy meat dish :D Me love.

Then I spent the whole afternoon learning and messing around with after effects until my boss came and sneak up on me.. I didn’t realize he was behind me and I turned aroud and suddenly there he was! Thank friggin god I was actually messing around with AE instead of watching youtube, lol. However, I did have Charmed playing on a very small screen at the top corner of my laptop and because it was small, it looked like the girls were half naked  so my boss was like “WHAT IS THAT PORN?!? O___O” .. I was like “Nooooo it’s Charmed! See??” Then he was like ohhhh hehehe. Why would I watch porn at work with 2 of my colleagues behind me when I can do that at the privacy of my own room.. not that I do that.. :P *giggles* Haha. Get your mind out of the gutter, bitch.

I got a call from Groove Syndicate because they had some demo thing.. I thought I’d check the place out in Dataran Mentari Sunway or something.. it’s like just few hundred metres away from my workplace anyway. So I got there at 7.30 pm… only one person was there.. he gave me a drink and told me to wait (cuz the thing actually starts at 8 pm).. Syko-G was surprised to see me lol. He took me to his mixing room and he let me play with his equipments.. they keyboard or synthesizer was so effing cool that I lost the track of time and messed around with it until 9.30 pm.. then he told me to wait. I did lol.

Mom was bitching nonstop though cuz I was not at home. Personal reasons. Syko-G gave me a tour of the other parts of the studio slash his temporary home, lol.. to make long story short, I played with his 2 cats and got bitten :(, I got free McD, chilled out, and watched standup comedian Pablo Francisco which was so fucking hilarious.

I got home at midnight and mom didn’t stop bitching :( Oh well.

Anyways, if you want to rent studio for anything like dancing, aerobics etc etc, wants a place for jamming with your band, to record tracks, to learn how to dj, let me know XD

Haha I had a 0.1 sec candid appearance in gua.com.my’s coverage on Robofair 2009! I was looking away though cuz I didn’t wanna look at them and look weird :P Herne got interviewed. I was actually nearby watching her lol They were only there on the 3rd day so you can only see our record attempt on the 3rd day which was the attempt to make a record for the biggest robopets assembly, and they didn’t cover the launching of CE1 movie or the robodance. Finally!

My current workplace finally has proper wireless net installed, so I don’t have to use old shitty internet of theirs with LAN cable (I think it was ’screamyx’). If I’m not mistaken they installed wimax? The other office has fast wimax, and this office, after all the problems, finally has its wireless working.. which is a good thing cuz I was told to move room, lol.. so if there’s no wireless, my LAN cable is not long enough to reach the other room’s modem. I’m extremely happy.

So far loading videos like youtube and other videos are very fast. So I can watch tutorial videos and learn and not be bored to death from doing nothing. Speaking of video tutorials, my boss told me to learn and master After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop.. so currently I”m trying to learn After Effects (can you believe I’ve never touched AE before? Only opened once and that was Mr Eddie showing me stuff).. and guess what?

I’ve grown to looooooove motion graphics. Somehow I feel like I wanna do motion graphics and visual effects after I graduate..but then again I change my interest a lot… maybe I can ask my old lecturer to be my sifu :P Kidding. But seriously, I wanna learn and master after effects, motion graphics and visual effects… it’s actually an important thing to master, as everything is connected (editing, film, graphics etc)

On a different subject, feels quite strange to change and share room now..cuz I was alone before, so I was free to do whatever without anyone knowing. Now I have to be careful :( Oh I also forgot to mention that on Monday, I went to college and filled up and submitted my subject registration form. Thank god no one yelled at me.

I woke up late today cuz for some reason I was sooooo sleepy, so I was late for work. So I was driving and driving until I reached Sunway and stopped at the red light. Suddenly a guy on motor knocked on my window. I rolled my window down and guess what he said? He said that one of my front tires is completely FLAT. He was worried when I turn my car that I might flip or something.

A big effing WTF.

How could my tire become completely flat and I didn’t know or notice it?? Geezus Cripes! That was so dangerous. And there I was bitching at a car that was slowing me down at 80 kmph (I usually drive over 100 kmph) when I was driving with one flat tire. So I was worried.. and I got to my workplace, and asked if anybody know how to change a tire. THANK GOD Keon knows how and willing to help.

There was a briefing/meeting, which should have been held yesterday but not everyone was there.. until after 12 pm I think.. I called my mom she took so fucking long bitching and being pissed off at me for not knowing how to care for the car I’m driving. Hey, I only drive. I don’t care about it. It’s not my car. After bitching with my mom for quite a while I had to go and ask my supervisor if I could go home and take half day leave…

Bah. She let me go though.. not sure if it’s really ok or not. But it was an emergency. I had to pick up mom and go to the bank before it closes and then go fix the tires. So under blazing hot sun, Keon was nice enough to change the tire for me… it was really burning hot. Wtf. Then I waited until Keon and Hamim go out cuz once again, he’s nice enough to follow me to the petrol station and inflate my spare tire, lol.

Well, whole tire-fixing thingy-majingy cost me RM273 (changed 2 tires, did alignment and one stuff I don’t know about).. and I was gonna get a new wireless broadband modem tonight but now I can’t anymore.. :( At least my car tires feel nice now. Actually a tiny nail punctured the old tire.. wtf.. when the hell did that happen? Had a huge argument with mom later but don’t wanna talk about it. Well I”m super tired now.. already watched 2 episodes of Charmed so I need to get some shut eye now. Goodnight.
