Modern Times

I just finished watching “MODERN TIMES”, the movie by Charlie Chaplin that we’re supposed to watch in class this Friday. Out of all the movies we had to watch in class and study, this is my favorite one of all, next being Ladri Di Biciclette. It’s HILARIOUS. I don’t think I remember watching any of Charlie Chaplin’s movie with The Tramp’s character, but I really love this one. My favorite scene would have to be the factory scene, where his character just goes nuts and tries to screw every bolt-looking things he sees.. then the scene at the restaurant.. the “white powder” scene, and a few more. It amazes me how he set up all the machinery, plus all the stunts that he did.  Now what’s left is for me to read PAGES of history about the movie and Chaplin himself.

Blah I have one more day here and I haven’t finished my 3d. I’m too depressed. Anyways. Btw, if you need a HDMI splitter, I recommend firefold.com

Chest Pain

I”m not in the best of mood nor the best of health today. Earlier today I had this feeling in my chest like my heart was beating a few times abnormally, and it feels like my heart was about to explode or pop out of my chest. Because of that the whole day I’ve been feeling weak esp. in the chest area, and felt like someone is sitting on my chest. That, plus some other things which I won’t mention so don’t ask, got me into an extremely bad mood.

Anyways, I got large pizza tonight so it lifted my mood a bit. Drove there myself, alone, at night. Well pizza hut is only 5 minutes away so it’s ok. Luckily I didn’t have chest pain again while driving. Then I watched THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO again today (cable tv is back, yay) and god, I love that movie to death. I’m thinking of changing my assignment. I want to write about The Count of Monte Cristo intead of Planet Terror and I will make Planet Terror my other assignment for extra credit. I’ll ask Ms Shana.

Oh last Saturday, I was playing with my cat’s kitten (really cute kitten but wild) and it got so scared of me and ran away to the next house which is empty.. then suddenly I heard PLOMP! Then lots of PLOMP! PLOMP! PLOMP! Omg. My heart sank. I got so terrified that the kitten is drowning. I was all my fault! I ran to the empty house and luckily the gate is unlocked and saw that the kitten feel into this drain or some sort.. and couldn’t get out. Thank god the water is not that deep. I tried my best to save it and after risking my own safety, I managed  to saved it. I’m a hero. I was paranoid again last night when it was raining heavily for evening and by night time my neighborhood was flooded. My cat (the mother) was screaming, calling out her kittens.. I was so terrified. But they’re safe now. Oh the things I’d do for cats.

Last but not least, the random thing of the day .. look at these baby clothes.. awww, look at the poncho, isn’t it so cute? Kids nowadays have really nice clothes, they’re more fashionable compared to all the clothes I’ve ever had. I need to rest now.

Boots

Oh look, cool UGG boots. I haven’t had boots in years. You don’t really wear boots here unless there’s a special occasion where you need to but this one says even in warm weather, it keeps your feet cool as it acts like a natural air conditioner because of the supple fibers. However I’m not so fond of the sheepskin.. cuz I don’t feel comfortable wearing something of an animal.. You know what else I want? A MANOLO BLAHNIK’S boots.

No TV

What is a Slingbox? I saw it in buy.com and it says you can watch tv anywhere in the world.. really? That’s cool. I’m not sure if this type of thing is available in Malaysia because I haven’t seen it before..or have I?

Speaking of tv, my cable tv has been cut because mom haven’t paid :( So last night I had to move my laptop and sleep in a room upstairs. I can’t sleep downstairs alone without tv. I need tv on becuase if not, I keep hearing things and I get paranoid. Plus I’ll keep imagining things so not good.

I have stomach ache today, sorta. Blergh.

A Bout De Souffle

To continue my last night’s blog – so we watched A BOUT DE SOUFFLE/BREATHLESS in class on Friday. Usually I like movements videos that we’ve watched, like The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Ladri Di Biciclette, or even Battleship Potemkin but when I tried to watch A Bout de Souffle, I fell asleep… TWICE. Maybe because I was tired having to drive back to KL from Ipoh. But the movie is not boring.. I like the comical part they put it in the characters… just that they have long talk scenes… I read that this one scene in the bedroom where the character Michel talks with Patricia goes on for 25 minutes with pure nothing-ness. So to sum it up, the movie is pure nothing-ness. I prefer Ladri di Biciclette more.. but Jackie liked it though, surprisingly lol. I don’t quite like the jumpcuts techniques that much unless it’s just an effect in music videos or something.

After movie we had to answer 2 questions about the movie and the French New Wave.. me, Ka Mun and Skyler were like talking and talking and talking about it..until I saw 2 girls in front of me looking at Nintendo DS Lite in a magazine.. I asked to see it, but before I could read it Ka Mun said we only had 5 minutes left to answer before class is over, so I was rushing and gave the magazine to Imara and didn’t get a chance to read it :( Why is it that when I want something, I keep seeing it everywhere? Anyways, by my next payday which is in 2 weeks, I’d have enough for the DS Lite but I couldn’t buy it yet :\  I need to use the money for stuff.. plus I feel like buying Anoretix, the hit weight loss pills that claims they can shed pounds and I’ve read positive reviews. I’ve emailed them and they do ship to Malaysia HOWEVER it cost like $50 per bottle so it’s like fucking expensive. I’m going to get the DS lite for christmas.. told mom she’d have to buy it (my money of course x.x) then gift wrap it for me (we don’t celebrate Christmas) instead of me gift wrapping it and giving it to myself lol. I’m pathetic. I’m not denying that when it comes to that, I badly miss my ex who showered me with expensive gifts. So yeah I do miss that – all the christmas gifts.. the HUGE teddy bear.. the expensive jeweleries, all pink related cute stuff even though he hates pink lol, HUGE bouquet of roses that cost like USD$100+… he was a generous gentleman who didn’t care about spending money for me until his attitude completely changes.

Oh well that’s enough.. making me depressed.
