Ahh..when I’m on a break like this, it’ll be nice if I could go on a holiday…. I need one but I have no one to go with.  In 2005, when I won the all expense paid trip to Singapore to see Good Charlotte, I went through hell to renew my passport but after that one use, now it’s just collecting dust :( All the troubles I went through was so not worth it…oh wait, I get to hug Billy Martin…oh nvm, it was so damn worth it :D :D :D

Earlier today, I had went to my skin clinic, Dermlaze that I’ve blogged about before to do my very first Fraxel laser treatment. As you know, I want to undo what my old dermatologist did to my face :( The hideous friggin surgery scar. First my mom was pissing me like hell, and the hot weather and major traffic jam wasn’t helping my mood either. I was supposed to go there at 2 pm but I finally got there at 3-ish pm instead.

First, I was sent to this small room with the laser machine. The girl prepped me up first. She cleaned my face cuz I had compact powder on, lol… then gave me painkillers. My old clinic never gave me painkillers… o.O; So I like this clinic way better. Then she put some cream which I’m assuming numbing cream. The cream didn’t smell like the numbing cream they put at Gleaneagles Hospital Skin Clinic (which I loved the smell and got me high lol). Then she put the some plastic on my face. When she’s done, she turned off the lights and put on night light so the room is dim lit. It felt so cozy lol. I was told to rest for half an hour for the numbing cream to take effect I guess. With the soothing music playing (they played slow love songs like Madonna, Savage Garden, R. Kelly, Boyz II Men etc) and with the dim light… I almost fell asleep lol.

After half an hour, the girl came back, cleaned the cream off my face…I didn’t feel the numbness like i did with the cream they used at Gleaneagles o.o So then they shut my eyes with cotton pad or something to protect my eyes from the lasers. I was kinda nervous … cuz you know, this laser might hurt more than pixel laser I did before. Finally Dr. Jeswender came XD Then the procedure start…  btw I’m only doing at the area of my cheeks, not the whole face.

When the laser first poked my skin, I was surprised as hell! lol. Okay, it’s like this. When i did the pixel laser, it felt like rubber band slapping your face one by one but with fraxel laser, it felt like hundred of needles are poking through your skin at the same time every second. I’m not sure which hurt more… pixel or fraxel. It was quite painful but tolerable…until it gets to the side…especially the temple area and jaw line. OMG it was painful. lol. I like pain though so I didn’t quite mind :P After doing the first around of laser, my face is throbbing, and the doc stopped and the girl put two ice packs on my face to cool it down. Ohhhhhh I LOVED IT. When I did my pixel, they didn’t put any ice to cool it down so my face was burning hot! But at this place, because they put the ice packs to cool it down, my face was not burning hot or throbbing badly or in pain.

The the doc went for 2nd round. The cheek areas don’t feel as painful but the temple and jawline areas felt more pain than the first one. After he’s done, ice packs again on my face. I pressed the ice packs down to my face so my cheeks are more numb from the coldness. Then 3rd round, it wasn’t bad at all :D  Then ice packs again then done! The girl then put some cream on my face and I’m done! Dr. Jeswender really do care about how the patience feel, unlike the other place *coughs*

Overall, it was not so bad! Because of the ice packs that they put in between treatment, my face wasn’t throbbing bad, or feel burning hot like when I did with pixel. You have no idea how I felt the minute after i was done with pixel laser before… I felt like my face was on fire and when i left the hospital, I was screaming in pain and had to put my face to the car’s aircond to try and cool it down :( :( My face was extremely red-ish and purple-ish too and it was embarrassing to walk where there’s people. Of course, how could I forget the smell of the burning flesh! There was even once when the burning hot sensation and throbbing was so extreme, I had to ask for the ice packs at the counter and some painkillers.. if I don’t ask, they won’t give it.

But with fraxel laser, my face wasn’t as bad.. no noticeable redness, or swelling.. smell of burning flesh wasn’t that noticeable… it was as if I didn’t do anything. So I could walk out without feeling embarrassed. After the girl gave me a cream to put on at home, I walked back to my car and then looked at my face in the mirror… nothing :D The only thing that’s very noticeable is the pores.. omg lol… the pores on my face are like SO FRIGGIN HUGE… I can see my cheeks’ pores opened up and I can compare my face to the surface of the moon, haha. Imagine two cheeks with hundreds of huge, opened pores… O.O;;;;; But luckily after half an hour, the pores are not noticeable anymore… and like I said, because the post-treatment is not that noticeable, I could even go to pump the fuel, buy stuff at the petrol station’s shop AND go eat at a mamak stall (Indian muslim restaurant) near my place… their mango milkshake/smoothie is so damn good <3 Review coming soon. Oh and the 7-Eleven there has officially opened :D!

So there’s my story on my first fraxel treatment. After I went back 6-ish pm, I fell asleep.. woke up at 1 am, and now my face is swollen a bit, and the area where I did treatment is dark a bit but unlike pixel which made my skin BLACK, like a completely burnt skin, lol. Now I have to go pack my stuff, so i can drive back to my hometown Ipoh at 5 am. Hopefully I have net in Ipoh.

Btw, on Sunday, we’re celebrating independence day..so Malaysians, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY/SELAMAT HARI MERDEKA!!!

Semester 4 is officially over!! I’m freeeee!…. for a week.
Oh huge burden has been lifted.

I submitted my last Animation 1 final assignment today.. thank god 3Ds Max finished rendering just in time… I was so scared I couldn’t make it.

My semester 4 went better than I expected. Sure, it has been stressful.. there was conflicts etc etc but that’s normal and there was nothing extreme.. and I didn’t whine as much as I did before, lol. Even Eddie agreed. Unfortunately this is the last semester for my lecturer Mr Eddie. Ya know, he’s the only lecturer that has seen the vulnerable side of me last semester? O.o I hope the new lecturer will be ok and won’t make my next semester a living hell. Next semester will be a short semester, and I’ll be taking only 2 subjects, FILM APPRECIATION and ANIMATION 2. Plus, Ramadhan month will start next week…argh college during fasting month would be torture!

So here’s what I think about semester 4.

Presentation Skills
At first, the thought of having a class with Ms Jenny is scary, lol. Honestly. Not saying she’s bad or scary or anything, just that I was scared I wouldn’t be able to make it through. I’ve never had class with her, and since I fucked up last semester, I’ve seen her super strict and scary side. I was scared I won’t be able to present good and she’d be disappointed or something. And the thought of having group presentation on most of presentations, and the fact that we have to change group members on each presentation is scary since the class has July batch students from all courses. But everything went ok. I was absent on couple of classes, so I hope that won’t affect my marks that much.

Black & White Photography
Ahhh one of the ‘fun’ classes. It was fun developing black and white pictures manually! I’ve always wondered how they develop photos and wanted to do learn it and I’ve finally experienced it myself. Last Monday, after the assessment, I went to develop the remaining photos I had.. only me and Ying were girls.. the rest were all guys. Omg. It was CHAOTIC lol. I was being bullied by the guys so bad, LOL. Good kind of bullying though. Especially Min and Nik and this guy whose name I’ve forgotten (sorry) I wanted to finish my photos as fast as possible and they keep delaying me, lol. They keep wanting me to teach them how to do them. Plus they keep teasing me and screaming my name for fun, lol. At least they amused me, and my stress was lessen a lot. I went back at 7.30 pm but then it started raining heavily. :( I couldn’t go home until 9 pm to do my script :( I had to wait at a kopitiam (restaurant). Luckily there was free wi-fi and I brought my laptop.

Video Production 1
Ahhh… the most stressful one. lol. This is the only class that started well with lots of students, but ended up having only few students at the end. My group was the most unfortunate. Started out with 8 members, one never showed up, down to 7… then one by one had to defer semester. :( Shooting was the most tiring. We should have gone with the soft drinks idea, because the jeans commercial is HARD. I’ll write in a new post on how my project went, plus I’ll post the advertisement that we did. But during the final assessment, it was a relief that they all liked the advertisement so it was well worth the stress and pain and shit.

Scriptwriting
This class started out less stressful at first, then quite free but stressful at the last minute.. but I had fun too creating my own movie script lol. I couldn’t submit on Tuesday because I was rushing to finish my photography, but I told Eddie I’d finish it and email him the soft copy by Tuesday night but unfortunately I could only manage to finish my script at 5 am :( I hope he won’t minus my mark. The next day it was tiring cuz I waited for Jackie to finish his script and print it…then me, him and Ito went to the shop to bind it…went here and there then back at college etc… went to college at 11 am and went back at 5 pm thus fucking up my plan to do animation.

Animation 1
I finally learned 3Ds Max! I’ve grown to love that software.. I want to master it but 3D is so complicated :( I’ve been torturing my brain for this subject, lol. I couldn’t finish my last project last night cuz I was soooooo friggin tired and my brain just wouldn’t work x.x I fell asleep and woke up at 11 am…I was rushing to finish the animation and shit and thank god it finished rendering before 5 pm. Didn’t turn out as I had planned it but it’s not so bad either. I’ll post the video later and pictures.

In fact, I’ll make new posts for each subjects and post my works. Um maybe I’ll finish my college blog and post it there.

Oh it’s almost 2 am now.. and I’ve written a heck of a long post o.O I took a nap earlier so I’m pretty wide awake now…hmm. I’m gonna do stuff and watch reruns of Friends again even though I’ve seen it earlier before I took my nap. It was the episode where Ross had to go to lamaze class with his ex wife Carol and her lesbian lover. Hehe. Oh since this is related to babies, shameless plug to baby earth site where you can get your crib bedding and stuff. Oh they’re so cute for your baby nursery! I’m like all grown up but I do like their lamps …I want one :( It’s so cute and you know I’m a sucker for cute stuff..

Oh oh! 7-Eleven is opening at my place, YAY! Now I can just walk to 7-Eleven :D :D :D!!!!!! I’ve always wanted a closer 7-Eleven :D!!! Oh and there’s a new　１００¥えん　ショップ (100 yen shop) nearby where everything is 100 yen (RM 4.90). I bought a new cute seat cushion :D I wanted the candies but since I can’t read kanji, I’m scared there’s pork related ingredients in there.

I’m too lazy and tired to blog about today so I’ll just do a quick blog.

I wanna talk about MALAYSIA. Yes, my country. I love it. I hate it. It’s a love-hate feeling. I’ve been reading on comments about how the Islamic political party wants to ban Avril Lavigne from coming here this month because it’s too ’sexy’.. seriously it’s a big WHAT THE FUCK news. Too “sexy” is absolutely ridiculous. Malaysians dress sexier than Avril.. PCD performed here and they’re way sexier.. to call Avril sexy is like calling a baby in diaper as ‘too sexy and revealing’. So the concert is still on.. and it’s like a big news or something here. What I’m pissed about is that at superficial.com, there are people misleading other people about Malaysia.

We are not monkeys who lives on a tree top at some forest.

Yes, we do have big buildings. We have cities. We have cars. We have trains. We have Petronas Twin Tower aka KLCC. We are multicultured. It is amusing that there are some people who have heard Malaysia before think we’re uncivilized.

There’s another thing. People thinks that if you hold hands in public, you’ll get caught by some people who are lurking in the corner, I think they meant Islamic authorities or something. That’s bullshit. I can french kiss some guy if I want to and no one would give a shit. It’s a normal thing. Well depending on how public the place is (like with lots of muslims, or religious places), you prolly would get told off because it’s an inappropriate affection in public (lol take it to the bedroom babe) but no one in ‘turban’ will catch you.. unless you’re alone at night with the opposite sex, and someone reports you to them. This term is called “khalwat”… but if no one reports, you’d be fine lol.

So Malaysia is just like America, or any other countries except more multicultured. There’s someone who said we eat on banana leaf and made fun of it…wtf? That’s just at certain places (especially Indian restaurants) that gives you unique dining experience, that’s all. We eat normal like everyone in the world. Plates, spoons, forks, glasses…chopsticks..and some do eat with right hand.. that’s just culture differences. Why do other people think if one small place offers something different which might or might not be good, it reflects the whole country? If I had never known what America is like, then I see a Chinese, eating at a Chinese restaurant in America using chopsticks, can I assume all Americans eat with chopsticks and make fun of it?

Oh yeah, after posting the previous blog, I just remembered while doing the editing, I saved the copy of my last semester 3’s cutout animation that I did with Subrin…you remember…from Intro to Animation class …that nearly failed me…caused me buckets of tears.. and I spent the night at college staying up all night animating it. Well here it is! Finally. Once my advertisement is done, I’ll be posting it too and behind the scene photos and videos. Then my 3Ds.

Took us a total of 16 hours nonstop to animate from 6 pm until 10 am the next day.

Classes for semester 4 are officially over!
Now just waiting for next week’s final assessment week then I’ll be having a week break… well not exactly a break because for next semester, I still have to continue the animation 2 class so during the break, I’d be stressing on designing character and understanding 3Ds Max.

I am glad my semester 4 went surprisingly well after all the fuck up from last semester and early  semester. Sure, I’ve been stressed, depressed, pissed off but not as bad as last semester where it fucked me up emotionally and academically. I just hope my result would be better than last semester. I’ve been working too hard to fix my last fuckups :(

Wednesday I went to college to submit part of my script then joined Ito & Jackie to edit our advertisement. I edited until like 5.30 pm and I wanted to edit more but Jackie was bugging me to go eat cuz he was friggin hungry, lol. Accompanied him until 6.30 pm then went back home.  The next morning, as in yesterday, it was raining heavily, FINALLY! So the weather was cool, lol… so nice to sleep in which I did. Went to class at 2 pm, thankfully Mr Terry extended the deadline for the final project. Learned about complex 3d human model (modeling it from scratch) until 5.30 pm. Then went to edit the advertisement again. Jackie wasn’t in the mood so I was editing alone until Ito came at about 6.30pm-ish.

We edited until 8.30 pm. By then Joe came to spend the night there doing his editing. I had to go back cuz I had to pickup my uncle XD If not I would have spent the night there. Then this morning, I woke up early and went to college at 9 am to do my photography but no one was in the fucking darkroom. Min called but he said he wanna do in the afternoon x.x Jackie then told me Ms Lin was busy so we’ll do on Monday. Luckily the guys were in the edit suite so I went to join them. Turned out Ito spent the whole night editing. Unfortunately, after an hour of editing, Final Cut Pro froze :( We had to redo it until 3.30pm when my mom called and asked me to send her to the bank.

I went back to college at 6 pm to do editing but no one was there.. poo :( So I went back home.

I’m so friggin tired. I still have photos to print at the photo shop and at college, plus buying mouting board and framing all the photos… then hopefully Ito would finish editing the advertisement before the final assessment on Monday…oh I also have to edit, print and bind the workbook to present to Eddie on Monday…  I have to finish my script this weekend so I can concentrate on my 3D animation next week and submit it by Thursday.

So much things to do… so little time.
I need the break… after that 2 continuous short semesters. Argh.

Well, we’ve re-shot the ads. Everything went ok despite everyone being late (except me for once, LOL). I’ll write about it soon.. I’m kinda sleepy right now cuz I’ve been up all night re-organizing stuff for today’s video production mock assessment and did the workbook. I have class in 1 1/2 hours, blah.

Yesterday was my last Presentation Skills class… ahh one burden has been lifted :D Actually it’s not much of a burden cuz the past 2 weeks it has been impromtu presentation… yesterday was a job interview presentation. My group was me, Az, Bryan, Shah and Kathy. Our ‘job’ that we’re supposed to be applying is “Adhesives Compartmentalist” lol. The job has something to do with cello tape that has been packed into sixes, and we have to rewrap them into two. lol. Interesting huh?

The 3rd group which is Sherra’s group has a job called “Blood Bank Packaging Clerk” or something..arrrrghhh that’s so my topic! The job requires you to stay up all night and be transferred to Transylvania, haha. That job is like perfect for me, argh if only my group is a turn too late, I could have done a better presentation cuz come on, I like vampires, I like blood, I’m a night owl/vampire and I like Transylvania! Oh well.

After class, me and Jackie sent back equipments and I accompanied him for one hour-ish until he goes back. Okay I’m gonna get an hour rest before I have to go to class. Argh mock assessment today :( Tonight have to finish the script, then tomorrow the 3D. ARGH. ARGH. Stress. It’s okay. Just this week then I’m done. Patience………

Just around 2 weeks left for this semester. Well actually one more week, then it’s final assessment week. Stressful. I have a script that I need to write, an advertisement we still need to shoot, edit and produce, and 3D animation to do.

Today when I came to college, I saw LOADS of cars outside so I was like shit, no parking…and when I entered the indoor carpark, guess what? There was some filming thing going on… o.O Filming crew and all the stuff right in the middle of the indoor carpark. I didn’t get to see which production or actors there though cuz I was rushing for class.

In 3D class, learned modeling in 3Ds Max. Looks very complicated but cool XD By next week have to produce an animated logo using 3D..argh @_@ Going to finish it tomorrow and Saturday…so I can work on my script from Sunday to Wednesday … then edit video during daytime. After class today, I gave a ride to Ka Mun & Ice. Well, I just sent Ka Mun to the nearby petrol station then sent Ice to LRT station in Kelana Jaya. Hehe first time I was with Ice other than in class lol.

Well. I’m going to put Fawlty Towers on now, and I’ll prolly fall asleep while watching it. Have to wake up and go to college at 9-ish am tomorrow to develop photos, then send camera & equipments to Ito’s house. We’re shooting this Sunday. Please god, no more screw ups. It’s our last chance. And please let Bryan help us..we’re lacking crew :(

First of all…

My college has been upgraded to university college status! So now my college is known as:
SEGi University College.

Finally :)

So anyways… gonna blog about random stuff about my class. I’m not gonna touch on my production until it’s all done. So last Monday was presentation skills class. It was quite fun as it was impromptu presentation on the topic “Why I should get a diploma”. My group was me, Sherra, Jackie, Effendy and Kathy. My group was the only one that kinda like fighting with each other cuz we’re supposed to fight for a diploma. lol. Fun. After class, Mr. Nicsson asked us to fill a survey and in return, we got a bag :D  Yay. Then after that I was on my way to the cafe to buy drink, and I bumped into Crystal! I haven’t seen her for like 8 months.. since the last prom nite performance cuz we were in Dance & Drama club. We had like 1 1/2 hours of long chat outside the cafe. She’s was having her last exam… and she’d be finishing her diploma :( So I won’t be seeing her around college anymore .. I think. Afer the chat, I went to Maxis center to pay my phone bill cuz the maxis guy kept calling me and bugging the fucking hell out of me about the bill. Geez. They’re almost like Ah-Long (loan sharks).

Tuesday, well, in the morning, it was Black & White photography class.. we developed our 2nd roll of film :D So I was in the dark room with Jackie & Joe loading our films and stuff. Someone friggin turned on the light! Luckily my negative was not affected cuz Jackie hasn’t pulled it out yet.. fuhhhh. I would cry if the light ruined it! But negative turned out ok! :D Fuhhh…. I was sooooo scared it’d turn out like the first one…haha cuz I was so stupid. After class, went to lunch with kathy & Ka Mun…then went for video production 1 class.. there was no class actually. My group is having problems…blah… AND, Adura…has…to….defer…… semester…omg. First Nesh, then Halili…now her. Omg. And we only have 2 weeks left until the end of semester…argh. We’re lacking crew! Now only 4 of us. Other group has 7. Urgh. And we asked Farah to be our talent XD Hopefully she won’t disappoint us.

Wednesday (today)… scriptwriting class.. and there was no class, lol. I just hand in my first draft of script then I could go home..but I decided to stay to see how Ka Mun and Joe do their animation..haha was the best decision ever.. it was sooooo fucking hilarious! I remember when I had to do mine with Boy last semester… with all the stress, the crying, the bitching… staying up all night doing the silhouette animation with him… lol anyways..  I took some pictures of them… and like 15 minutes long video using my cellphone lol but I won’t post the video.

This is how you do a silhouette stop-motion animation. You cut the image from black sugar paper and put it on lightbox, with the camera on top, and you capture it. I like their scenery, plus the characters. They’re doing samurai and ninja.. haha Joe’s ninja is fucking hilarious.

I really like it @_@ really nice.i hated the cutting part though, lol.

And then capturing it in the imac.

I was there for 2 hours-ish and we never stopped laughing. Haha. It was soooo hilarious.. esp. when Joe were being silly, and talked with Japanese accent. We were laughing so much that he even rolled on the floor laughing, LOL. Ka Mun was animating a bird and the outcome was so funny, I was laughing till my stomach hurt. Hehe. I like silhouette animation. I’d do it again if I don’t have any other works to do because stop-motion animation is soooooooooo time consuming. It takes friggin long to do but it’s the most fun.

After I got home, I stopped by at the nearby store at my place and a pirated DVD store has just opened.. HURRAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t know how long it’s gonna stay opened, but while it’s opened, I’m gonna make full use of it lol. There are a  lot of DVDs I want to buy… but I didn’t have enough money. But then I saw FAWLTY TOWERS DVD (complete series)… one of my favorite british comedies! I wanted it from amazon, but it was fucking expensive! Around USD$50 (around RM160+/-) but I bought the my copy today for RM27 (USD$8), hehehehehehe… :D I didn’t have enough money though :( LOL but the guy is so nice, he let me buy it first, and pay tomorrow..haha ;)

Yay they’re showing reruns of Friends again from early season! (when Rachel is still working as waitress at Central Perk)… they showed the 10th season early this month every night and the very last episode of it was last week.. ..but glad they’re still showing reruns of friends cuz it’s one of the greatest tv shows ever XD

Sorry I haven’t been blogging. I’ve been extremely busy. I don’t want to blog about my production or school cuz I have absolutely no mood to do so. Don’t even wanna tihnk about it. So I’m gonna blog about PC Fair that was on August 1st, 2008!
