Sam Raimi

I. feel. so. dead.
But one burden is gone!.. Today was my presentation day for History of TV and Film. If you read before we had to do a research on a film auteur, so I decided on one of my faves, Sam Raimi. I’ve been researching on Sam Raimi since last Chinese New Year break (earlier this month) so I had A LOT to talk about. Thing about Sam is that, his life and the start of his filmaking career is so interesting, it’s hard not to write a very long essay about him. There’s just so much to talk about. The more I write and research about him, the more interested and fascinated I became.
If you didn’t know, Evil Dead was the very first horror film I watched when I was 9 years old. It had me terrified for weeks. My neighbor’s brother brought back the vhs tape so we watched it at her house, and I got so terrified. It took a short while to lose the fear, and I asked to watch the tape again, and THAT’S the starting point of my horror movies and zombies obsession. So yeah, Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead is what started my crazy horror movies obsession right now. That’s why I decided to write on him.
After I got home from class yesterday, I rested for a bit and started working on the notes in the evening.. Then I realized how much I had to write on him.. o.O; So it took me ALL NIGHT LONG to gather all the notes about him for my powerpoint slides. Then at 4 am, took me an hour to fix my my printer because it was fucked up and 2 hours+ to edit and reconvert videos for powerpoint because only wmv format could play in o.O; Did the slides then I only had around 1 hour ish sleep .. woke up at 11 am and started doing my slides.. in a rush.
When I rehearsed, I realized I’m gonna have a big time problem because my slide takes more than hour to present.. so I was like SHIT. It was too late to fix it already so I just went to school.. LOL I found out EVERYONE was up all night doing their presentation.. no wonder Esther replied my sms at 5 am, lol.
During the presentation.. I was like ‘eh’… with everyone’s presentation.. yes I have 83 slides in powerpoint, and pages of long thorough notes.. it’s because I did such a thorough research on Sam and tried to gather every important info for it.. but everyone else? Mostly they just described a bit of the director’s movies and a little bit of info. Most of them had absolutely no clue what they were talking about o.O They even got their info wrong. Barely any relevant clips shown, unprepared, obviously showing last minute work etc.. I was shocked O.o They claimed they couldn’t find any clips to support their presentation, that’s bullshit o.O I tried to dig every possible way for Sam Raimi’s clips on the net (not just youtube) so was I the only serious one about my presentation? O.o They did on big directors like Tim Burton, Quentin Tarantino, Steven Spielberg.. omg if me, I could talk for HOURS about them cuz they’re so big and so much stuff to write about.
During my presentation, I had already expected that Mr Eddie would tell me to speed up, lol.. I tried my best to speed things up but everything is relevant and connected.. I don’t really mind not having to read the slides or talk more on Sam, but I was worried Mr Eddie wouldn’t let me play all the clips I had but thank god, he let me 
So thanks Mr Eddie! I was happy The clips were vital because they’re the most relevant thing to support my research on Sam. I think he said I did good and I hope he’s satisfied, lol.. because man, took me a month to research on him, lol. Mr Eddie said that I’m much a better speaker so I didn’t have to put all the long notes in the slides.. haha I HAD to… I’d get so nervous and will forget what to say…
I felt I did so-so but relieved and satisfied I got it all done.. Unlike my History of Art class… Aaron knows how pissed off I was, and how badly I cried on that day and how depressed I was. I am still NOT over it. I will never be. It’s the only thing since I’ve been in Segi College so far that I felt I was used, and been given unfair grade… if only that subject I got an “A”, I would have gotten 4.0 GPA overall for that semester so imagine how pissed I am. I felt so disappointed and angry at myself. I never cared about school before but I’m finally doing something I like, something I have passion for.. so I gotta get everything perfect. I don’t care if my group members don’t care about their grades, but I do care on mine.. so fuck ya’ll *breathes*
I think I’ve babbled enough O.o; I passed out earlier so now don’t think I can sleep. My main comp still has not been fixed, so I gotta call the comp company again tomorrow. I also have a meeting.. hmm. Oh on a little extra note, if you shop at Kohls, you can get yourself some extra Kohls coupon codes. Nite! Now I go rest.
My Birthday

A day after my birthday.
Yesterday was fun 
I didn’t actually celebrate or anything but it was a fun day. I had a lot of bday greetings in myspace o.O Thank you! ^_^ And it was lovely to wake up to a lot of birthday spams from Aaron I loved it When I was about to go to school, mom gave me a birthday kiss lol. It was VERY awkward since I don’t do that kind of stuff with my mom. Then guess what? I rushed to class, got there like 10 mins late, bumped into Sherra who arrived at the same time and was rushing for Ms Jenny’s class and…. my class? NO ONE o.O;;;;… I thought class was changed or unexpectedly canceled. Thank god it wasn’t. We had group discussion for my group project.. seriously, I think this is gonna be trouble. It seems like I”m the one being serious about it. Moving on.. then we talked about camera movements and then we had practical on it

And this is another group on the opposite side with Effendy as the cam director, directing Jackie the model, lol. It was funny watching them. I just noticed how long our corridor is… yes, it gets friggin tiresome to walk all the way to class! At the end there is the dentistry faculty.. why did they make focad (creative arts) faculty so far inside.. ? @_@

I didn’t play with the camera because they were hogging it. I barely got a chance to watch too because they keep blocking my view so I sat at the side there because it was too hot 
Mostly Jackie, Esther, Effendy and Rashman were the ones excited with the camera with Mel, Hana and Ally as models lol.

I forgot this guy’s name (Imran maybe?) but he played a part of a guy running into the camera and get shot and falls to the ground while facing the camera… it was so fucking hilarious because he’s such a good dramatic actor! I took a vid with my cam but I missed the best moment where he falls then looks up to the cam and said “HELP”…haha. See if I can upload the blurry cam phone video.. once it’s ready, I’ll edit this post with the video.

After class, I rushed to pickup mom and we went to Tesco. Bought some stuff then came home to talk to Aaron and to be with him in Second Life He paid my dreamhost site hosting!!!!! His birthday gift for me :D!!!! Thank you sooooooo much babe!!!! Me very happy! Then we spent time together in SL :)So that was my birthday Thank god for no drama or no moodswing lol

Happy Birthday to Me!
Well, well well… I’m getting old.. and what have I achieved so far that I can be proud of? Nothing…………………
At least this year, my birthday is not ruined by some bad breakup.. unlike last year. So I hope nothing bad will happen tomorrow. I have no one to celebrate my birthday with in rl but oh well :\ That’s ok. At least online I have Aaron And after some forcing, I asked mom to buy me pizza hut today as a birthday gift lol. I’ve never ordered pizza hut online before, so it was quite confusing. At least they got my order right. Now I’m too stuffed and I can’t sleep.
And I just realized this year is gonna suck. I’ve gone back to being antisocial. I have no friends at school.
But thank you for birthday wishes whether in sl, myspace or wherever. I appreciate them
Official Opening of My College

WARNING: Long and Picture heavy blog
Yesterday was wow… I had a very long day at school. You see, yesterday was the official opening ceremony for my college… so the prime minister was invited. We had to stay at school until he’s done. I had class in the morning so I went to school at 9 am…OH MY GOD. They blocked half of the parking spots I don’t know for what, so by the time I arrived, there was no parking spots left except for outside… I asked the guard if I could park beside the wall he said no, and asked me to park outside. NO WAY. I’m gonna put my laptop inside the car, I can’t leave it under hot sun. So lucky there’s one tiny space and he let me park there. Then with my heavy bag and laptop and 30 mins late, I rushed up to 2nd floor for class and because I parked on the other end of building I had to walk a very long way. I hate walking up the stairs.. wish they have elevators (they do, but not near my class) or at least stair lifts haha… You know, those chair thingy that lifts you up on the stairs so no need to climb stairs.. easy for old people? Well, it should be for lazy young people too. I don’t have to go up so many stairs lol.
Got to class, but class haven’t started yet. We learned about the format of scriptwriting and screenplay. Then we get to act!

My Valentine
5WARNING: Long and picture heavy blog
I think I’m done drawing cartoon heads for today. Really tired now because I haven’t been getting much rest lately. Still have presentation slides to do and the ad video.. well at least these stuff are better than having to study stuff, especially like when I was in business school. Don’t have to get headache from trying to understand wtf is economics, bpm, business maths, accounting.. omg. lol. Oh shit that reminds me I still need to resit for the bmath and accounting exam.. argh.
My Valentine’s Cupcake (for Aaron actually lol)
Well in this blog I”m gonna talk about my Valentine’s Day It was good, it was ok, it was so-so, it was bad, lol. It was all of those. The night before, me and Aaron had a HUGE argument… well on that day, as mentioned, I came back from Ipoh at 3 am.. I didn’t sleep at all and went straight to class at 9 am. After that, they told me there was a meeting so I waited until 1 pm.. checked out some booths at school with Ren then turns out they all have to go shopping for their stuff to sell or do on Valentine’s Day.. I had to drive Esther to get our stuff which is the fondue… I was so friggin sleepy and tired but I couldn’t get out of it.. oh well. So me, Esther and her friend Nizam went to 1Utama.. we reached there but they told us they don’t sell choc fondue.. Shit.. so they suggested to go to Sunway Pyramid o.O;;; That’s like…. 30-60 mins drive depending on traffic O.o;;; I really had nooooo energy so I told her if she wanna go, she’d have to drive and pay for petrol, lol.. Surprisingly she agreed. O.o; Well for Ipoh bitches before, they’d disagree o.O; So Esther drove my car all the way to Sunway Pyramid.. goddamn it.. that mall is FRIGGIN HUGE I swear I could get lost. It’s far from my place (Sunway City) …too bad cuz I love the mall because is has all the egyptian design. Anyways…
We walked and walked because Nizam said they sell fondue there but NOOOOOOO…we walked and walked and walked and turns out they’re not selling it there anymore, argh! So Esther called up her friend and they said it’s confirmed that Midvalley Megamall has it.. OH MY GOD. I was gonna die. But yeah, Esther drove back all the way to KL city (30-60 mins drive) to Midvalley. We reached there, walked some more and yay, found chocolate fondue! FUCKING FINALLY! But then we had to find other stuff too…so walked to Carrefour… then Esther wanted to rest at McDonald and meet her friends.. THEN we left..but unfortunately Nizam has stuff to pick up at Subang Jaya so oh my god, they drove there.. I was falling asleep at the back seat. And everyone knows Subang Jaya roads are like traffic jam hell, urgh.. we reached there at The Summit… and for the first time I saw Segi College Subang Jaya branch… It’s like next to The Summit.. lucky! Huge mall beside college lol.

This is going to be short.. I’m kinda braindead now. It’s 3.20 am lol. I’ve been talking to my ex for hours.. blah.. don’t wanna talk about it. I’ll do the Valentine blog tomorrow if I have time.
I had class yesterday..but it was short >.> We were finished by 11 am.. probably earlier.. so me, Sherra and Dura went to the cafe for late breakfast.. and Effendy and that guy, I keep forgetting his name.. joined us to eat. After chatting a bit I went back home, put my lappy in my room and drove to 1Utama alone Bought new cheap blank DVD-R.. walked around..omg I’m addicted to this seafood tempura (a Taiwan snack)… oh I asked about the mini external disk and omg, Buffalo’s 80 GB is RM299! ACK! That’s fricken expensive. I was hoping to get a 250 GB I’m gonna check PC Fair in April.. hopefully it’ll be cheap because I want 2 mini drives.. so I can use one for backup and one for daily use. But then again, I’ve been thinking of a new video cam.. and probably an mp3 player (cheap one where I can carry around) …Blah..
I need sleep now. I have presentation slides to do..and on Monday I have class in the morning, replacement class in the afternoon then see our prime minister! I’ll try to take a picture. Today do the powerpoint slides, do ad video, draw cartoon faces… yeah. I think I’ll put on a movie and go to bed.. I wonder if here they sell Bose headphones because I need new headphone… the good one I have hurts my ear and this lappy’s sound is not loud enough. Hmmm.
Ok, beddy bye time. Nite.
PS: Mom bought aircond!!! FINALLY!!!!!!! Probably coming to install next week when I’m free. Have to remember to call comp technician guy to come check my comp after I’m done backing stuff up.

Happy Valentine’s Day.
I had quite an ok Valentine. Hehe. Tell you about it tomorrow because right now I’m too tired to type. I have to finish my sketching for heads for my Intro to Animation class.. oh shoot I also have to email Mr Eddie my gif animations.. I’ll post them soon. He said they were good except maybe I should add more extreme to some of the animation.. I meant to do those lol.
Just a short site review or buzz.. I was checking out Maryland plastic surgery site and it reminds me that I need to get the scar on my face fixed.. my doc did that grrr….now I’m scarred for life And I desperately need to be on Roaccutane again.. even though it has bad side effects but it works wonder with controlling acne..
Oh I’m also currently freaking out because my main comp is fucked up. All I desperately need right now is an external hard disk for me to back up everything…. I’ve burned some stuff like digi cam pics but there’s still a whole lot more to backup. I don’t have enough DVD and I’m scared that any time the comp can die and I won’t have a chance… if I lose all the data in it, omg.. I’ll just off a cliff I swear. I can’t go through that again. Enough with my Ipoh’s comp.. I lost EVERYTHING..my precious videos and pics.
Ok stopping now. I’m so tired.
